"Cockroaches, staff left our door open all day while we were out, super loud machine goes off at 6am every morning, no cutlery in the kitchen, broken toilets, bathroom was a total mess. Disgusting place, please avoid"
"One of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in Australia. There was no aircon, expectable for 19 dollars, yes.. there was rusty fan on top of someone’s bed And a couple of windows hard to reach by the mess of the long term people in the room. Had to come back to reception to ask for a pillow and they just did not have blankets available, not even an apology from the receptionist.. the bathroom was leaking and tiles wet even though no one had showered yet. The kitchen didn’t have any cutlery/plates and not available for rent neither. A photo of my “beach view” hahaha Only good thing is location and price I guess"
"A NIGHTMARE... I have to say I never wrote a comment on the internet in my life but I feel I must today. First, our room was dirty and we found several cockroaches, + the room was too noisy to sleep properly. Second, the kitchen was an abomination, I have never seen a hostel kitchen so filthy (dirt, clogged sinks filled with stagnant water) + impossible to get a set of cutlery at the reception, as promised. Third, a guy from the reception (the owner?) knocked three times on our door on the first morning to ask us for information about our identity and our booking, without any justification and without having introduced himself. We felt like we were outlaws. The third time, he told us that our booking was a "no-found" and that we had to re-pay our entire stay. I took the opportunity to ask him if we could just pay for that first night and then leave because we were not very satisfied with the hostel. He answered me with a threatening attitude: "Listen, it is my room, you will pay 200". My stomach tightened, I felt like I was not safe. My boyfriend checked his bank accounts and it turns out that we had paid! So the guy tried to intimidate us even though we hadn't done anything wrong! At this point, I'm wondering if he wasn't even trying to scam us. We decided to leave this place immediatly after that, even though we had paid for 2 more nights. NEVER BOOK IN THIS HOSTEL PS: I am still shaking from the way that man spoke to me."
"Never going back. Paid for "3 bed delux suite" obviously wasn't expecting much but what we got was 2 beds, 1 pillow and zero blankets. When we asked at the counter for an extra couple pillows and blankets they said there was nothing they could do.. We booked another place to stay and left and they wouldn't refund us as they "have a no refundable policy" Super convient policy to have after not providing even the most basic facilities.. Also have not responded to any of our emails"
"I Booked into here for a week over New year. My bed had a huge stain on it, there were used Cigarette ends and face masks under the bed and I had no pillow. I voiced my concerns to the reception who told me the room 'Should' be clean but they are down to 2 housekeeping staff ( Run at less capacity then!!!) I also found out there had been covid cases in the hostel a few days previous, I told them I didn't feel safe staying there as my room was filthy, and clearly hadn't been cleaned, I was offered another room which I declined as the state of the building had already put me off, and didnt fancy spending NYE somewhere so dirty. Was refused a refund even though they probably sold the bed 5 mins later and I had only spent 30 mins on the property. Have complained to booking, and the hostel are not co operating with them. The only thing decent was the location by the beach. Honestly spend that bit extra and get somewhere safe and clean for the night. 0 covid guidelines were followed, e.g checking in, and following the mask mandate ect."
