"Jaime (the receptionist) treated us rudely and unfairly, with no regard for the safety of our group. Thankfully we had a car we could stay in while we waited out his power trip. Once we got in the rooms were what we expected for the price - the staff entering our room falsely accusing us of having sex with strangers was also uncomfortable."
"Worst hostel I’ve stayed at and the seemingly staff don’t care whether you have an enjoyable visit or not. Location is great but honestly you’d be far better off staying anywhere else. Had one of the worst experiences with staff here, I couldn’t recommend anyone staying here."
"Although our 'Backs' are getting old we're 'Packers' from way back. Look you know what to expect... great friendly hosts and people from all over the world who are full of life! We got the ensuite, as I said we needed some growing old solitude! Extremely clean and close to everything that is BONDI. Oh so easy and if you save some dollars you can buy great Mex. & Margaritas just around the corner- which we did!"
"I love the village Bondi hostel it’s a great place to meet new people and make friends especially on Sundays they do a free barbecue and brinks. It’s just literally like 2 minute walk to the beach and they do a free yoga class every week at the beach too !! The workers are great and so friendly, the receptionist Javiera and Ian are so lovely and kind and always happy to help."
"Hostel overview: - The staff are super nice and friendly - Well equipped kitchen and common spaces like a lounge where to chill and so - Location is good for Bondi beach - My room had no locker which really annoyed me and ruined my vibes during my short stay at the hostel - The toilet is very small and does not even have an electricity socket - The vibes are weird at this one, everyone mostly chills at the outside of the hostel, I met with 2 different groups of people. The first group were dodgy and were like in their late 20s and were like kids, they thought they were cool and were going around mentioning druags and showing it around like they are some 18 year olds and never did anything. However, the second group was nice, although it didn’t feel like it had family vibes for a hostel so I would say the atmosphere is pretty average. - The bed was comfortable and electricity socket next to it"
