"The rooms were so small for the price paid. General service was good. The noise from construction work happening in the next building could be heard in the hotel room in the middle of the night."
"Absolutely incredible experience at Castlereagh Boutique Hotel! Staff went above and beyond to be accommodating and were all very kind and friendly. We're already wanting to return and didn't really want to leave. Had one of the best rests we've had in a long time in our room too. The whole hotel looks so regal and is so well maintained, it's magical to be here. Location-wise, this is a gem right in the heart of the city too. Miss being there already! They have a super inexpensive continental breakfast as well. Staff in that breakfast room were also incredibly kind. It was a lovely stay, the team here are doing such a good job. The magic show here is also phenomenal and was how we discovered the hotel initially. Would highly recommend!"
"I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. I stayed here for two nights and have provided my feedback directly to the hotel. The staff at reception were friendly, but that's about the only real positive I can say. The rooms were outdated with separate taps for hot and cold water that required microadjustments to get the temperature right in the shower. Plus there was a sticker next to the hot water tap warning about how hot it was, but the water really wasn't that hot, and if it is that hot that it requires a warning for other rooms then turn the temperature down because scalding guests is not appropriate no matter how you look at it. There was a bright light beaming into my room through a frosted/patterned window with curtains that couldn't completely block it out. There was also light coming in from the front door of the room. Oh and the construction noise. I was on a high floor and could hear the construction noise start at 6am like clockwork and wouldn't have thought there was any insulation at all as it sounded like I was on ground level. While I appreciate receiving a constructive response from the hotel when I filled out their feedback form, I know I am not the only person that has had issues with this hotel and I'm unsure if any of the feedback will be actioned to improve. As I was going to check out, a couple of other people entered the elevator from different floors and started talking about how bad their experience was. If that isn't enough of a sign not to stay here again I don't know what is."
"Breakfast was great and reasonable price. Front of house staff were a bit off (moody or rude). Treating guests offhandedly like they don't enjoy their job. However, I love this hotel great vibe and reasonable cost and good location to uptown n downtown."
"I really enjoyed staying here. Beautiful heritage hotel with all the old world features. The bed was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Lovely light breakfast in a beautiful bar. Really great value. Parking is on the next street, which wasn’t a big deal."
