To celebrate our 5 years of success, we have recently created a stylish dining area featuring an eye-catching LED screen wall and state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities. This cutting-edge screen wall has made The Eight the ideal venue for weddings and conferences, adding an extra touch of elegance to any event.

Our journey at The Eight is the realization of our dreams to deliver a new face, a new taste, and a new attitude to Chinese dining in Sydney. Henry Tang, our founder, was initially destined for a career in real estate but found his true calling in the restaurant industry. Living in Sydney, he was inspired by the vibrant dining scene and decided to pursue his passion for food. With his wife Chillie by his side, they have successfully managed The Eight, combining their expertise in marketing and personnel to create a truly exceptional dining experience.
Led by a new generation of visionary, creative, and experienced executives, The Eight dares to be different in order to lead the fusion Chinese food market trends. Our goal is to satisfy both the taste buds and dining experiences of our customers. We achieve this by committing to our shared values and by providing the highest levels of customer service, with an extraordinary emphasis on creating value.
We are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Parking is available in the underground Wilson Car Park, and we offer free parking for 2 hours from Monday to Sunday between 10:00 am and 3:30 pm. In the evenings, entry from 6:00 pm is free. For those using public transport, the closest train station is Central Station.

"Definitely my favourite place for yumcha. There is a huge variety of different food from sweet to savoury and the food taste great! During the weekend there is always a long queue but don’t forget to scan your parking ticket on the way out they give you 2 free hours parking 7 days a week."
