"I took the basic woodturning course here in September. It was a delight and very informative. Ambrose and Bríd are generous in every way, with their time, their talent, their insights and, indeed, their home where we had dinner. The course covers all the basics and students go home with two pieces they have turned on the day. But they bring home much more than that -- they are armed with a comprehensive skill set that is a sufficient launch into the world of woodturning such that having acquired the basics they are well prepared to try it at home. But more than the pieces they turn or the skills they acquire is the passion for the craft that they imbibe. Ambrose and Bríd are masters of the art, and wonderful ambassadors for it. Their passion is infectious and I left Cregboy determined to spend more time on the lathe, to return to practicing the basic skills more often, and to aspire to the extraordinary level of skill I witnessed on the day-long course. It's a fantastic day out and even for those who will never own a lathe, a wonderful chance to experience this ancient craft in a hands-on way. I could not recommend it highly enough to both young and old."

"I done the course with Ambrose and Brid a couple of weeks ago, I have to say it was the best course that I've done, ( having done plenty of other courses) I was on a high after the course a really great day from start to end, excellent food as well. "I recently attended Ambrose & Brid's wood turning course. As a complete novice, it was an excellent introduction. Ambrose is an accomplished wood turner with a great teaching approach. Both Ambrose and Brid are keen to pass on their skills to any willing student. With their guidance a small class were able to go from "no previous knowledge" to producing impressive basic pieces. On top of the quality of the teaching Ambrose and Brid provided an excellent home cooked meal and plenty of tea, coffee and snacks. While the location might seem a little unassuming when you first arrive, the teaching workshop and the manufacturing workshop are both of a very high standard. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to learn a new skill or add to there wood working ability!"

"I attended Ambrose & Brid’s one day foundation level course on wood turning. It was excellent in so many ways, pace of delivery, level of skill, informative, mixture of theory and practical. The relaxed atmosphere and reassurance of all is well was so encouraging. During the day we were brought from a total beginner standard to producing 2 lovely projects which included many skills. Their hospitality included coffee and goodies at 11 and a beautiful 3 course lunch. They are such a lovely couple and seem to have time for so much. I highly recommend this course.
