About The Good House
Welcome to The Good House, located in the heart of County Clare in the scenic town of Inagh. Our establishment is not just your average bar, but a cultural destination that combines history, community, and entertainment all under one roof.
The Good House dates back centuries to when it was originally built as a market house for traders and merchants to sell their goods. The venue has since been transformed into a bustling hub where locals and visitors alike can come to enjoy a night out, a hearty meal, or simply a place to gather with friends and family.
We serve a wide range of food and drinks, with a focus on local produce and traditional Irish cuisine. From hearty stews to mouth-watering seafood dishes, our menu is designed to satisfy even the most discerning palate. Our bar offers an extensive selection of beers, wines, and spirits, including some of the best Irish whiskies in the country.
At The Good House, we pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a solo traveler or part of a large group, you'll always feel right at home here. You can chat with our friendly staff, listen to live music, watch your favorite sports events on our big-screen TVs, or simply relax with a pint and soak up the ambiance.
The Good House is more than just a bar; it's a place of history and culture. We host regular events and activities that celebrate our heritage, from trad sessions to poetry readings to historical talks. We are also committed to supporting local artists and musicians, giving them a platform to showcase their talents in our venue.

Reviews of The Good House
"Great service, food was yummy, and the spot was cozy. Just what my family of 6 was looking for!! Also has a gluten free menu and vegan options / versions of dishes :)"
"I didn’t expect to find some of the best gluten free fish and chips in a town this small but I did. The place feels upscale but also has a bit of a bar like vibe and everyone seems to know everyone. The fish was light and flaky with a crispy layer of breading that wasn’t greasy at all. I asked for a side of the gluten free curry for my chips. Also very mild and tasty. The chips were clearly made fresh from potatoes and were crunchy but not dry. The gluten free menu was extensive and I even include the dessert menu. Incredible!"
"Good hearty full Irish breakfast served with a pot of tea and toast. Very friendly staff and customers. A lovely mixture of tourists and locals, and it's wheelchair friendly. The decor is bright and beautiful. Plenty of parking. Prices very reasonable."
"While driving to Tralee, we found this nice looking place along the main road. We checked reviews, and discovered it had almost universal praise. Going in, the immediate area in front of the door clearly feels like a local pub, but immediately right there is a nicely laid out dining room area. We ordered starters and main courses, and were very pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes. After simply the chowder with fresh soda bread and Irish butter, I would have been fine for the rest of the evening. However, the main course was on its way. The burger was genuinely lovely. Great seasoning, perfectly cooked, not a hint of dryness. The thick chips that were served with it were also remarkably good, the crust was very satisfying. Altogether, we had an outstanding meal in both quality and quantity. The owner, a woman named Marina, had a brief chat with us, and she was so pleased with our feedback. Lastly, the price was very fair. A very good two course meal with drinks, in a convenient location, and in a nice setting, for around €50 is outstanding value."
