The Adare Clinic Harvey's Quay, Limerick, County Limerick

"I attended the Adare Clinic with Naomi Mackle in August of last year. I was told what I thought was hormonal acne was perioral dermatitis. I was put on antibiotics and I went and bought all the reform skincare recommended to me (around 250-300 I spent on all of this between Aug-Dec) I had asked for la Roche but I was told she knew how her products worked together. In November I rang again as my skin hasn’t really improved. I was told my only option was to go for chemical peels which were €300 for 1 or €1000 for 6 which was out of my budget and didn’t appeal to me. I rang back in roughly January saying I couldn’t afford this and is there anything else they could do. They prescribed me a benzoyl peroxide which I didn’t get as I had done my research on perioral dermatitis and I knew it would aggravate my skin more. I was also told if this didn’t work I would have to go for a reaccutane consultation (my skin isn’t that bad so again.. more money) I decided to try la Roche citaplast and went for a free consultation with them regarding my skin. My skin is better now in 4 weeks than it every was with using the reform products. The products are also much more affordable. II’m extremely disappointed in my experience with the adare clinic. The only positive thing I can mention is the two ladies on reception who were always so kind in trying to help me whenever I rang. Thanks to both of them. I wouldn’t recommend the clinic or reform products. It all felt like the priority was money."

"Unfortunately my appointment with Naomi Mackle was switched to a new person they have working in their Dublin clinic. Only that person wasn’t familiar with the procedure which they failed to mention so I had to go back and meet with another practitioner. I’ve just reclaimed my invoice on laya only to find out that they are not consultants and are GP’s so you DO NOT Get 50% back (as per my conversation with the receptionist before I made the booking) through your health insurance. Charging €150 when they are not consultants for a visit to discuss what procedure you should get when they are GP’s is outrageous. In limerick a consultant charges €150!! A GP is €60-€70!!"

"I don't often leave reviews but this place deserves it. I suffered with acne scars for years and never believed they could be fixed until my consultation with Doctor Naomi. I was made feel welcome from the minute I arrived at the clinic, the place also looks and smells amazing. Doctor Naomi was so nice and thorough throughout the consultation. After weighing up my options I decided to go with a course of Reform Skincare chemical peels. I noticed a difference after my first peel and 6 peels later my skin has never looked so good. My skin tone and texture had improved immensely, not to mention my confidence. I couldn't recommend this place enough."

"Please don’t attend, I went in 2018 before my daughters wedding, I think it was about 3,000 and more. Naomi was like so unprofessional. I got in touch that week to say my face was completely bruised swollen. At the time she offered me a treatment to take away bruising but I didn’t have time to go, Contacted her immediately on return from wedding to say I had to attend a doctor who said too much fillers. Too say I couldn’t open my eyes on my daughters wedding day Is an understatement my face was so swollen etc. Two years later MRI CAT scans , biopsy with scar on my face only to find out that I was injected with too much and as a result have huge hard lumps under my skin and some visible which has been proven that was as a result of over injections of fillers and badly done. . Despite being in contact with Dr Naomi constantly she has failed to acknowledge at any stage problem nor has ever asked me to see problem I had as a result. She basically sent me a letter showing me a consent form I didn’t even sign which says if you end up having a problem as a result it has to be sorted by the Dr. Never seen such unprofessional treatment. Can I also add that I only once had a treatment done by her French colleague with no side effects. I’m am not allergic to anything. If I could give zero I would. I now am still attending a top dermatologist and she won’t even answer an email. Please think twice before you go"
