"Stayed here recently for a friends reunion. I was so impressed the accomodation was spotless and beautifully decorated and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast chouces were very impressive and tasted fantastic. Would definitely recommend for a friends or couples get away , probably not really suitable for kids. Birr is a beautiful , well kept town . We ate at a local tapas bar (Townsend)which was also excellent for food and staff friendliness."
"Was in there today,food was lovely and all but have to say the reception was so cold .I walked in to meet my friends who were already there and a lady stopped me and looked at me like I had two heads before she asked me was I ok?I informed her I was joining my friends and her response was definitely not friendly or inviting.i had my one year old with me and I had to ask for a high chair as he was in the buggy.the whole afternoon felt like we were one big inconvenience and she would rather us not there .food was lovely,service was beyond disappointing."

"My wife and I were there to celebrate her birthday watching the hot air balloons at Birr Castle, just down the road. We had wonderful time, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. We could even see the balloons through the window. Highly recommended!"
