Reviews of Clayton Hotel Cork City
"A beautiful stylish hotel with an exclusive VIP restaurant. Also the quality of food was excellent. A place where we could sit and chat in very comfortable chairs and sofa areas. We didn't feel rushed there, we really settled in and didn't want to leave."
"We had a room for 3 guests. Everyday, it took multiple attempts to get enough towels for us. Additionally, we had asked for washcloths, and we were rudely told that it is not common in Ireland. We have stayed at Hilton hotels in Ireland, and they always have washcloths. Never need to ask. The woman said they could bring some up, but they looked dirty! Pretty embarrassing one would bring that to a paying guest. Last thing about the room. In the bathroom, during showering, water leaked on the floor. This not only was an inconvenience, but I would think it would cause a high risk for a guest to fall, let alone the damage to the structure. Then there was the issue with the lift. Only one lift was working, which caused guests to have to wait extended times going up and down. As busy as the hotel was, I would have thought one would have the lift service company out, until the problem was resolved. I was really hoping that this hotel chain would be another option when visiting this area, but unfortunately my experience has ruined it. Lastly, I was informed that I would receive an email with my summary at checkout, and I never did. I would highly suggest you have management check the location, and do some corrections!"
"I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights along with my son who is studying in Cork. The room was perfect with two separate beds (one double, one single), the abundant and varied breakfast, an excellent gym complete with everything and functional, the large and complete bar/restaurant. The staff was kind and competent to my need, so all really good. The location of the hotel is really convenient for walking to the center and the train and bus station. I did not use the spa. If I return to Cork I will definitely stay here."
"Beautiful hotel centre city’ location breakfast was excellent unfortunately the bar was a complete disaster.Waited over twenty minutes until finally went to a nearby bar. The residents bar was even worse. Give it a miss if you like a beer. February 19 2023. Kevin."
