"Host is lovely and welcoming. But the property is old and small. Bedroom 1 reeks like a public toilet. Bathroom 2 is inappropriately small. The beds are worn and saggy. I simply cannot understand the rave ratings. This was the worst property on our two week trip. We tried to locate the property owner but she had gone out. So we simply left and found far better accommodations around the corner. Very disappointing and a total loss of money. Sad."

"Stayed with Melaine and Pat in Avelow House nothing was to much trouble for them. Melaine was so good to us even tho shes within weeks of having her wee baby everything crossed for you. Pat was a mine of information for places to go and see. Breakfast was so lovely and great to have a chat with them both as we were usually last to eat. Cant recommend it enough and will be on my list for my return visit. Also had great fun with their lovely 2 year old boy whom l requested to see. Josie Ck on Shannon"

"Outstanding. The cleanliness of the room, the location of the BNB and the warm welcome we received from Melanie could not have been better. The breakfast was fantastic also, clonakilty sausages and black pudding, free range eggs and Denny's rashers. It really was like home away from home. I'd definitely recommend for anyone going to a n event in the Kenmare Bay Hotel, it's just around the corner."
