"A great pub good selection of beers in tap and good food. Large with lots of seating available and the layout of the building means that wherever you sit, it still feels like you're tucked away in a small country pub. Live music on the weekend!"

"Very large 16th Century Coaching Inn located on a very busy roundabout with no car parking facility. Extensive internal area providing both bar and restaurant services. Decorated to reflect the past history but with up to date amenities. Good for refreshment after or before a wander round the Palace grounds or ancient town buildings."
"Wow!!! What an amazing find!!! This place is absolutely full of character. The pub feels like a real pub (unlike some plastic chain establishments). The decor is tastefully done throughout. The bar is spacious but cosy, as is the restaurant and accommodation. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced with a great variety for all tastes/requirements. Definitely something for everyone. We had bar snacks for lunch followed by an evening meal. Stayed in room 4 which again is tastefully decorated and generously spacious. We then had breakfast in the morning and even returned for their Sunday roast!! Every meal was well executed with great portion sizes and tasted fantastic. The manager, Gina, certainly has a gentle approach with a keen eye for detail and it shows by the smooth running and efficiency of the staff and pub itself. The Assistant Manager, Marie, was also professional, super friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend and looking forward returning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
