Reviews of Coach and Horses
"I tried to had a pint but the owner came to ask me questions and felt like a interrogatory not a friendly chat. Didn't felt like answering questions to her. Place is a nice luxury pub. Food was actually good. But owners are very unwelcoming."
"We only popped in here for a drink after a beautiful walk but what a lovely pub. I'm pretty sure we've been here before and it wasn't nearly so good. I definite improvement and well worth another visit"
"The Coach and Horses is under new management. We really enjoyed the food under the old managers so were keen to see what changes had been made and if the food was still good. The pub now seems cozier than before with 2 fires going, one on either side of the restaurant. We both ordered starters and mains with my wife ordering the soup of the day, being the carrot soup, and I ordered the tempura prawns, followed by the blackened cod and steak for myself as mains. I thought I ordered the better starter because carrot soup at the best of times sounds pretty boring, my prawns were great but the real surprise was the soup, it had so much flavour. The mains came a short while after the starters and were even better. The steak was perfectly cooked and my wife could not stop talking about how good the cod was. We will certainly be back."
"Yesterday we booked in for tea at the coach and horses, unaware it was a special menu. Well what a wonderful valentines meal we had for 3 with our 8 yr old daughter. She was made to feel so special and the chef cooked her a special dish. The adult food was sublime. a very happy mistake booking. Thank you"
