"I went to Rocks Jewellers in Stillorgan to get the battery on my watch replaced. It was inspected (in the back of the shop) and I was told that the interior was rusty and would need to be replaced. Cost: €75. I was surprised but said, okay. As I was waiting for the paperwork, an elderly man beside me was given the same message: the battery in his watch couldn't be replaced because the interior of the watch needed to be replaced. What a strange coincidence, I thought. Too strange, to be honest. So, I asked for my watch back and took it to another jewellers, where they replaced the battery. When I collected it, I asked: is the watch in good working order? Answer: Yes. Is the interior rusty? Does it need to be replaced? Answer: No."
