"Amazing stay at Bective B&B. They were so welcoming and helpful. They offered to drive us to collect the car after a wedding and made breakfast to order. Would really recommend and such amazing value. Location is also amazing as has the abbey across the road and a nice local pub!"
"What a fascinating B&B! We were surrounded by natural materials and history. Our room was warm and comfortable. The situation is so peaceful with the mill and the river flowing right beside it. There is loads of space and interesting things to look at in the grounds. There is a stunning old stone bridge with 10 arches and Bective Abbey is only a walk away. We had the full Irish breakfast and it even included home made jam with fruit grown on site. The people serving us were really accommodating and friendly. I couldn’t believe what brilliant value it was for such a location. It made our holiday to beautiful county Meath so pleasant. Thank you so much!"
"Charming property with a wonderful host in a beautiful location! Bective Mill is a charming B&B in an old restored house. The house has a common/living room on the ground floor where you enter. It is a cozy space equipped with chairs/sofa, a fireplace, and books and games. The bedrooms are upstairs. We travelled with two children and stayed in a family room that had double and single bed with a private bathroom. The breakfast was amazing! We selected the full Irish and were not disappointed with the eggs, bacon, sausage, black and white pudding, toast, etc. The grounds were beautiful, but unfortunately, the old mill had burned down a couple weeks before our stay. The property is on the River Boyne and a short walk from the Bective Abbey, an old ruins site that you can explore. The family and staff were truly generous and friendly hosts! It is difficult to find something that we personally did not enjoy here. If I had to nitpick, then I would have liked stronger coffee with the breakfast! Also, sounds travels through the wooden doors easily, so you have to keep [your children] quiet. But this is not a problem."
"My parents and I stayed here one night while visiting historic sites in the area. It is a very charming place, and you cannot beat the location right on the River Boyne. The rooms, including the sitting area and dining room, are simple but comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best we had in all of Ireland. The family that runs the B&B are friendly and helpful and interesting."
"First night in Ireland and this B&B topped the "idyllic" list!! Even if the room was a little tight for 2 adults and 2 children... the hospitality was top and we slept like hibernating bears! The hosts were lovely, their own child a great playmate for ours, breakfast was great, the river on the large and well maintained property is such a romantic asset, and down the driveway across the street are the ruins of an old abbey to explore. Great views, quiet atmosphere, typical Irish feel! We loved this simple stay. Our hearts were warmed and we would definitely come back!! Thank you!!! ❤"
