"I was only there for a night for working purposes. The place is very centric and very close to a DART station and several bus stops in Ballsbridge. When I arrived there were no employees and needed to follow the instructions for entry which was okay and I had no issues. I did have issues trying to enter the room, fortunately a call to the phone provided helped me with that and I was in. The room and the bathroom were clean, spacious. There were the usual tea and coffee provided along a coffee maker and a kettle. The only thing I can complain is that the instructions for the air conditioner/heater were not the best and it took me a while to get a comfortable temperature in the room. Maybe a pdf with photos of the settings would be helpful. Overall it ended up being a nice stay and quiet, there were other guests both in their rooms and common areas and it was okay. Would definitely repeat if I need to be around again."
"Pictures and reviews promised more. The room was in the 1st floor, it was slightly damp, carpet wobbly and sheets having holes. Had to heat-treat all my luggage back home (kill possible bugs). Communication could be better, as it is unmanned reception. The fire alarm in the middle of the night (due to rain) was an unpleasant surprise, but the alarm is now proven to wake up the guests."
"Currently staying at the hotel first night here there is no staff, which would be fine but there is also not hot water, the 3 phone numbers given in emails and in property are just ringing out or for a completely different business. My room was open when I got here, there was a half empty shampoo bottle left in the sink in the bathroom and a half drank bottle of coke under a chair. place seems deserted. Spent the last 15 trying to contact staff with another guest. For 500 for 3 nights was kinda hoping for hot water Edit: in the morning the hot water had been sorted. My room was near reception, so I over heard a few other guests making the same complaints (no hot water and rooms having stuff left over from other guests.) The beds and towels were clean, and the location is good, but it's being run by a small number of staff."
"Superb location. I stayed there for a rugby match and really loved the charm of the place. The staff were so helpful also."
"Considering we paid more than €300 per night, we were not happy with our stay. The pictures should make it clear why. For this price you expect a room to be spotless, but the room and building were lacking maintenance. We also did not receive any cleaning between nights. I would have complained in person but there is no reception. We will not be coming back I'm afraid"
