Reviews of Octopussy's Seafood Tapas
"Awesome food! Simple, fresh - DELICIOUS! Tried their scallops both ways (whiskey sauce and lemon/garlic) and both were incredible. Paella was bursting with seafood as was the (made to order) chowder. Can’t wait to go back!!!"
"Really excellent food, had a wait as it was one of the busiest days of the year. We had the fish and chips and it was well worth the wait. The fish was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff were incredible, friendly and professional even with the insane demand for tables. Very highly recommended."
"If you want to eat like the locals do and get the fresh seafood literally next door and have just the right size plates, then this is it. We were taking here by a friend who specifically told us that tourists never know how to get here or no of it to begin with. And that made us happy from the beginning. We were quickly surrounded by locals who appreciate everything around them and the freshest seafood you could ever want. We have really come to appreciate true Irish culinary fare like the seafood which is just minutes away from the door of the restaurant. We loved everything about this place and it's so small and cute as well as very accommodating. By the way, the seals are waiting to say hello to you right across the street from the front door. Probably also waiting for scraps of the fresh seafood. Lol."
"Recommended by a friend of a friend, for a great seafood tapas experience. Did not disappoint, friendly welcoming staff even though it was a boiling hot day and very busy, the staff remained polite and friendly. They managed to squeeze us in and we were so pleased ( you can't make reservations, it's only a small place) portion sizes were s/m/l and the waitress explained s=1 person m=1/2 people and l= 2/3 people. We had 2 chowder, 1 fried calamari, 3 garden salads and a large sea food platter between 3 of us, stuffed by the end. Salad was OK basic, little bit too much dressing. Seafood superb, piping hot, gorgeous taste, so fresh big smiles all round. If you get the chance to go to Howth definitely try and call in for lunch or supper xx"
"This was THE BEST seafood I have ever had! The oysters were fantastic and the mussels were a dream. Their brown bread was superb and just what you need to get every bit of the seafood chowder! The service was just as good! It's a friendly place to eat tucked away with a view of beauty!"
