"The staff turnover is very high. In fact, you see a new staff every other day thereby making customer service inconsistent, deplorable and well below standard. On two occasions a new staff could not serve me because he doesn’t know how to use the pay point. In fact, same was the case yesterday that I vowed never to go there again! There’s also a very serious issue of persistent bad smell and odour in the shop. It’s very penetrating and upsetting that the shop smells like a morgue. Imagine the smell in a place that sell food and drinks for human consumption. Surely, something isn’t right and needs fixed. Besides, I find the shop highly disorganised, disoriented and less connected to the people they’re serving. Basically, due to staff shortage, you’re either on the queue for ages or you end up leaving to go elsewhere. In summary, this shop is a testimony that many is not better. Coop should reduce their shops presence on the high streets and concentrate on working on staff turn over, cleanliness of the shops, staff training and better hygiene, management, sanitation, cleanliness and customer service!"
"Please read this. The Co-op on Coldharbour Lane is a joke. It’s the worst thing in the area. Every time I go inside I can’t figure out who’s running the place. They have a security guard — I don’t know why. The only thing good about it is the ATM. The Nisa Local across the street stocks the same Co-op products at CHEAPER prices. Most of all, the store always smells terrible. It consistently has a new bad smell. I can’t tell if it’s coming from the floor, the ceiling or the refrigerator. I wouldn’t be surprised if a serial killer lived in the flat upstairs. This week, I walked in for a quick price check… I couldn’t even make it to aisle 2. I don’t know why I keep going back inside. Curiosity I guess. I’ve finally had to write something about it."
"This place is ridiculous, in fact the whole situation is ridiculous...bare with me. Co-op is on one side of the road and Nisa Local is opposite. Co-Op shelves are on adverge 50% empty. They regularly run out of most things: plain yogurt, butter, pizza, fruit, veg, desserts, you name it they don't have it. Now cross the road to Nisa Local and they have all the same co-op products fully stocked and available on their shelves....at a higher price. Typical experience: walk into co-op for co-op yogurt and co-op brand pizza, they've run out of both. Cross the road to Nisa and they have the same Co-op yogurt and Co-op Pizza available....I pay the higher price and head home. Is co-op trying to loose money? Whoever's managing that co-op needs retraining"
"I don't normally complain about staff, but the staff in this store are bereft of manners & have extremely poor customer service. I highly suggest a staff training day for a few individuals at this store. Constant rudeness & a unwelcome feeling upon entering this shop. I plan to complain to the head office about this store. As a change of personnel is needed. Avoid this store if you are in a bad mood. These guys will definitely piss you off."
