"Limited selection due to it being a small branch of JL, but all the essentials. Mega Waitrose downstairs balances it out nicely, but the prices match the postcode. Excellent service provided with lots of willingness, heart and personality from Neem. Retail at it's finest. Thank you for finding my mum a pair of shoes ready for the wedding we're "really excited about"."
"We bought a new expensive American style fridge from John Lewis. When it was delivered to our kitchen, we discovered a massive scratch on the door. We refused to accept it and asked to take it back, however the guy told us that the procedure is to leave it as is and that they will come back in a couple of days and swap it with a new one. We immediately reported it to both the delivery company as well as John Lewis itself. Got a couple of reassuring emails claiming the issue will be solved soon. However we received a call today from John Lewis saying that the delivery company reported that someone on site actually damaged the item and they aren't responsible. The way the person talked was unprofessional, rude and was rather a rant than a conversation with a customer service. We were confident that John Lewis would handle the case in a fair way but instead they sided with the delivery guys and even claimed that what we say is a lie. This is a totally unacceptable, unprofessional, unfair and shameful service by John Lewis."
"Some products displayed on shelves are not in stock. Very limited variety. Staff literally hiding outside of the shopping area just to avoid talking to customers. And that's in addition to extremely poor knowledge of products and clearly visible disdain for their job"
"This review relates to the café. Range of good quality food from sandwiches to hot meals (it's all Waitrose food so will be good). The prices in the café are definitely more reasonable than other cafés in the Canary Wharf area too, so good place if you fancy a cuppa and a sweet treat. Toilets available too. When we visited there were no hot meals available which was a shame. Staff very friendly."
"I experienced very rude customer service at the weekend - I asked a member of staff in the beauty department if they took part in John Lewis BeautyCycle, she said they did and proceeded to explain how the scheme worked - all good I thought. But then when I went to the till they just said 'We don't do BeautyCycle' and when I explained that their colleagues had only 10 minutes earlier told me they did, they just repeated themselves - no apology or anything! It's their responsibility to give customers the right information, but they failed to understand this. And why don't they take part given they have a beauty department? It makes no sense, don't environmental concerns matter in Canary Wharf?! I also found that they don't do in store returns, which are standard across all John Lewis's. They only do Waitrose-style online returns where you drop a parcel off and they post it - meaning customers have to wait up to 14 days for a refund. This is clearly not what customers would expect from a John Lewis, this shop is basically still operating as a Waitrose despite becoming a John Lewis branch! I hope this changes and they start offering the full JL experience, and also that they treat customers with more courtesy."
