"Easy self check in and map of site and pitch sent via email. Pitch was hard standing but narrow so had to step out on to very muddy grass. Lots of kids running round and playing football(not on playing area) Music was going until late Looked like some campers were there permanent. Toilets were terrible one toilet was locked off, one toilet had a broken cistern with flush missing and only other toilet in the block was a disabled wider cubicle and the toilet seat wasn’t fastened on level so meant partly sitting on the actual toilet not the seat. Showers looked okay and there was heating keeping them really warm but shower curtains were lacking hooks and had a high step up to get into them The brick built toilet block was closed. I did go into the reception/shop to report all this but the person couldn’t have been less interested. Asked why the main toilets were locked and was told needed new boiler. This site certainly wasn’t up to the standard all five vans in our group were expecting."
"Horrific campsite, filthy toilets and shower blocks which didn't seem to be cleaned, tiny play park inadequate for the size of the site, and music from nearby until 5am every night which was unbearably loud. Definitely one to avoid."
"This could be a great campsite but it's run on a shoestring. On a weekend when the campsite was full for the triathlon championships the manager was on holiday. There was only 1 shower working for all the campsite at one point. The electric kept going off and the drinking water went off too one day. There was only one lady in reception to look after everything and was obviously under a lot of pressure from people and I did feel sorry for her. There was no facility to keep your ice packs frozen and the receptionist had to sneak mine into the freezer for me. A real shame as this campsite is well laid out and let down by bad management."
"Big campsite, was surprisingly quiet when we visited and yet we were crammed into a corner space next to a massive tent arrangement - the rest of the field was empty! Single toilet / shower block was a bit grubby, number pad was tedious. Nothing near by - aside from the water sports centre - no pub / cafe within easy walking distance, although reasonable bus (No11) to Wesr Bridgford / Nottingham centre a 10 minute walk away. 10 am check out is laughable (and thankfully not enforced) - who does that? Especially as you can’t get on site until 2pm!! It’s not like there’s cleaning to do on a pitch. Bonkers. That alone would put me off going again. 10am !!?! Anyway, it was ok. I wouldn’t hurry back."
"Huge site , good sized pitches. However noone on site after 11 makes life really difficult if you get moron campers. Because it's all flat noise travels very quickly and adults who've had too much booze shouting at each other can be heard across the site. Really need separate areas for rowers from.those on general camping. Wouldn't stay again. Noise ruined it."
