"1 star is 1 too many. This garage is a total con DO NOT USE. I asked for them to refurb 1 alloy on my car while it wasn’t in for an insurance repair. They quoted £65 to do this if I paid cash. They overran on the timings of the repairs, but never called to update me on this. When I called this afternoon for an update and explained I needed the car as I was away the following week I was told they would see what they could do and would call back. They didn’t. When I called again I was told it was done and I needed to pay £220 cash on delivery. When I asked what the money was for I was told 2 alloy repairs. Firstly 2 x £65 doesn’t add up to this, secondly and most importantly I hadn’t asked for 2 to be refurbed. After a bit of back and forth I was told that 2 had been repaired and as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ they would only charge £100 for both. I said I didn’t want to pay for 2 as I hadn’t asked for 2 to be done. They then offered to put one of my accident damaged alloys back on the car so I would only pay for 1, the accident damaged ones were much worse than the one they had refurbed, so obviously I said no. Knowing that I needed my car back that day they then said they would keep the car until Monday until they could speak to the guy I had emailed as he wasn’t in. Obviously I couldn’t wait for this so I said I would forward on the email, they said they would call back, which they did within a minute. Paul claimed he had spoken to Steve on the phone and Steve confirmed the quote, but said he had called to agree both wheels. I never had this call. The emails were exchanged on 9th Jan and the next time I heard from them was 4th February. I have phone records to prove this, funnily enough they couldn’t provide evidence this call was made. I was then told £100 was a good deal as normally it would be £170 (if anyone else has noticed none of these figures ever add up to the £220 I was originally asked for). To which I said clearly it was not because I had only asked for and expected to pay for 1 - not my problem they had done 2! Paul is one of the most rude men I have ever spoken to, he clearly has some sort of issue with people who understand how car repairs work and doesn’t like to be challenged. I was then told that if I didn’t pay the £100 I wouldn’t get my car back until Monday when Steve was back in - despite the fact they had just spoken to him, that I had written proof I had asked for 1 and they only had the claim of a phone call that never happened with absolutely no evidence. The issue was, my back was to the wall with needing my car back and they knew that, they knew threatening to keep the car gave me no option. I said quite frankly an extra £35 would be preferable to ever having to speak to them again. Paul then hung up on me and my car was delivered back to me in the dark and rain where I was expected to sign to say I approved the repairs! Ridiculous, so of course I didn’t sign. They also didn’t send the poor (but very lovely) driver with a receipt for the £100 so he had to waste his Friday evening waiting around for them to email one across before he could leave. I never normally go into such detail with anything, but I really feel that the detail of this issue needs sharing in this case so that people can see just how shady they really are. I should have known the second they told me they would do it cheaper for cash...not only do they try to pull the wool over peoples eyes, but they lie and are pushy and aggressive at times too. Please, always check reviews before getting anything done through your insurance and ask for the garage to be changed if they suggest this one. If you’re looking for yourself, keep looking and find somewhere genuine who don’t want to rip you off...there are so many great garages out there struggling whilst morons like this continue to trade."

"Please please DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY my car had been send trough my insurance company, after too many calls I got my car fixed double then completion date. Really rude customer service they said every parts will be from BMW but Instead they replaced fake parts. They left the car Faulty most of body parts were not on a place as it was fake and washers are not working at all. They charge 4700 pound I will try to solve it trough insurance if not I will be looking to contact Ombudsmen If you can see this review PLEASE take your car back from them before they do anything to your car as you will end up with faulty and problems."

"Absolute rubbish, Do not take your car here I had a minor accident when my 2006 BMW E60 M5 collided with the curb in the wet at 40mph the damage was 2 badly scuffed alloys and damaged rear suspension my insurance company Axa had the car taken to C&D in barking. The car was with them for 12 days before they gave an estimate for repairs. C&D inflated the cost of the repairs to £10,000 AXA then wanted to write the car off, working on a 50% ratio repair costs. I cancelled my claim and asked for my car back Immediately C&D changed their tune and got stroppy,asking for their courtesy car back and that i had to collect my car otherwise they would charge me storage costs. I have my car back and have an estimate of £2700 for all the repairs. Absolute crooks, dodgy Idiots !!! Avoid at all costs!!! I have given 1 star only so i can post my experience but if there were an option for minus rating i would rate C&D Minus 5 stars"
