"My Personal Experience of Ray Petty Meccanica Workshop Having read the review on Ray Petty Meccanic I thought I would give him a try as I have an MTS 1000s DS in need of some TLC after a spill. I emailed Ray some questions on a Sunday afternoon and could not believe when I got a response the same day. Straight away I knew my bike was going there. Fast forward to when I took the bike into Ray's shop. I just failed the MOT. She needed tyres and brake light fixing, clutch was also screeching. The tyres Ray fitted were a great deal so I had brakes service done as wheels were coming off anyway and was able to collect the bike the next day MOT'd and looking great. I was elated that they had actually sprayed over the chips and scratches on the bike see before and after photos. I did machine polish it to bring it up. So that will last for while. The bike ran absolutely beautiful when it was returned. More responsive, quicker, more agile due to new tyre very sticky, what can say... apart from outstanding service. She has never run that well from what I remember. A couple days later I realised I lost the nuts off the back of my speedo and asked Ray if he had any? I sent a photo and got a photo back the same day with my address on it and the speedo nuts in the envelop. All sorted now, received and back on the bike. "After being recommended to Ray and his team from folks on the Ducati forum I can honestly say the time and work they have spent on the rebuild of my engine is brilliant. The brief was to set the engine up to be ‘push button ready’ once hung in the frame and plugged/plumed in and that is exactly what I got. The excitement of firing the engine up for the first time in years was amazing and huge milestone on the project to rebuild my Ducati 996.
