"Highly recommend The Maintenance Guys for your business and/or home repairs. I have used them for all kinds of repairs at our Nursery, electrical/plumbing/carpentry and have always been impressed with their professional service and reasonable billing. It is a very easy booking process with excellent communication and reminders of appointment times. Recently , James came to my house to fix a dishwasher that turned out to be a rather disgusting blocked drain situation, which he was able to fix with a smile on face. "Avoid contracting them. Beyond the snazzy website and the facade of professionalism, they care very little about their customers and they are not professional. They charge an hourly rate and their main motive is to spend as much time as possible to charge a higher rate. We contracted an electrician from their office to do a relatively simple job. The electrician stayed for 2.5 hours working deliberately at a very slow pace to clock as many hours as possible so that he charges a higher rate. What’s worse is that he reported back to his boss that he worked for 4 hours! We also had to ask him to come back again as he didn’t properly fix everything. We had to challenge the boss Jamie over email twice to get him to quote a fair rate. Jamie showed no interest in investigating the hiked-up timekeeping by his employee. He was rude and dismissive and offered no apology. If you want to be treated with respect and would rather not be ripped off, avoid dealing with Jamie and his team."

Job was done quickly, by a professional and friendly person - thank you Clement. "The Maintenance Guys just saved me £5,000. I had an unusual problem that meant my gas meter needed to be moved. I was advised to go via Cadent who were going to charge me £6,000 to move the gas pipe alone and I would have then needed to hire a gas safe engineer to move the meter itself. He went out of his way to find a solution for me, eventually finding out that his engineers had the qualifications to do the meter move for me, at a fraction of the price. He also managed to get it booked in within days of me asking.
