"***CUSTOMERS BEWARE*** If google allowed for less than 1 star I’d be giving this a minus 1. I had the most traumatic experience here with not only the most disrespectful and rude business owner I’ve ever come across, but the most distasteful and inappropriate human beings I’ve ever interacted with. I came in here as my first grooming experience for my mini dachshund. I walked in and no one greeted me or seemed to be at the counter, so I kindly said hello hoping for an answer. A woman came out and said nothing and proceeded to walk to the counter. I said hi, I have an appointment. She immediately said “I heard you you don’t have to repeat yourself” and looked down. As any new customer would, I had questions about my dogs grooming. She said “how much hair do you want off” and I asked for her guidance around common practice for dachshunds. She took her phone out and started recording me!!! She said tell me how much hair you want off, I can’t tell you anything about hair length or anything and I want you to confirm this over camera so I can cover myself when you come back and aren’t happy. Who does that!!! I was absolutely shocked and taken aback. I was so uncomfortable I didn’t know what to say. I said that I was unsure why I was being interrogated as a customer, and she said “ the customer is always right attitude is no more, it’s 2022 and I’m not lucky to have you as a customer”!! I can’t explain the level of traumatic this experience was, and from an owner! Zero social skills and I read over 20 reviews here clearly about the same person. Needless to say I took my dog and left, and there was a woman in tears outside who said “ did she yell at you too, she said my dog was misbehaved and he’s never barked”! Thankfully I found an incredible groomer down the road within a mile and they are the kindest and most incredible people who do the BEST job."

"I took my elderly dog (16) to Mishka for the first time a few weeks ago. He is very old and frail, as well as deaf and blind and so needed to be treated gently. He had some matted hair, which Sylvie pointed out and I agreed it could be shaved. When I collected my dog he unfortunately didn't seem himself - was in pain and stressed for a few weeks. He also contracted a skin infection which he had to have antibiotics for, and has resulted in numerous bald patches. I reported this to Mishka and since having a conversation with the manager, I'm happy to say they took my complaint seriously. I have only heard good things about Mishka, so I believe this to be a one-off mistake."

"First time visit for my cockapoo to Mishka Grooming yesterday. I didn't want her shaved, just scissor / long blade cut and she looks stunning. Took two hours of care, love to and attention to detail so I was very happy to pay extra and also tipped the groomer. Be specific about what you require. If your dog's hair is matted, the only option is probably a shave cut. However, if you brush your dog daily without fail, she could look my beautiful cockapoo. Best dog groomers I have been too and my dog was very happy with the lovely staff."
