"My experiences at Queens Park Village Vet have been nothing but positive. The team are fantastic and Kobe loves it there, which is very important to me. knowing my dog is comfortable there and is looked after.."
"About 3 weeks ago I managed to find and book a neutering appointment for my 2 year old toy poodle. After booking the appointment I was not contacted once by anyone from Village Vet. Not only did they not remind me of my appointment, they failed to send me appropriate pre-care - I arrived with my dog to the appointment after he had had breakfast a few hours earlier. The nurse told me I could SIGN off the risks that there is if performing surgery when my dog did not have an empty stomach. Of course, the next available appointment would have been months away. On top of this, I was not told that I would need to book a discharge time to pick up my dog after op - when initially booking the appointment on the phone I explained that I work full time and would need to pick up my dog from 6-7 after finishing work to which the initial staff who booked me in said was totally fine!! The staff member that booked me in falsely told me that Village Vet close at 7pm. The receptionist and nurse this morning told me 6:30pm instead. I walked out without rescheduling my dogs appointment. To be honest, I don’t want anything to do with such a highly unorganised vets. I did not like the way I was treated from the moment I walked in - the receptionist at first told me she didn’t know what to suggest when I told her I could not come at 4pm to pick up my dog as I would be at work!!! From my reaction she suddenly fit us in for 6pm discharge after telling me it was fully booked towards their closing time. The nurse blamed “Kurt/Curt” (the male staff member who initially booked the appointment) HOWEVER, as someone who has worked on FOH/reception I’m appalled that the receptionist or manager did not call all appointments the day before as a common courtesy, whether it be to remind me or give me some pre care - the reason I’m appalled at this is because the nurse managed to bring up on her computer that I had not been contacted or sent any pre care for my dog prior to operating. So if they can pull up this information up why do they not do this everyday for the following day appointments? Awful, awful, AWFUL service and will NEVER be visiting ANY Village Vet again. The funny thing is this was my first encounter after needing to find another vets to perform my dogs neutering!!! First and LAST."
"They are disorganised and disrespectful. I appreciate it is convenient for most living in Queen's Park but unless you have limitless time to wait to be seen or to have your appointment rescheduled, I would recommend you going to another clinic. Also, they are not expert in nutrition and do not read the labels of the food they recommend for your pet. I suppose they are incentivised by the producer to push certain products. So if they are giving you products, read the labels and do your own research."
"The Queens Park Village Vet team were absolute stars with helping us relocate our dog to NZ - one of the strictest countries for animal imports! Melanie and her team were super responsive, answered all of my questions, made me feel supported and ensured everything was all sorted. My dog hates the vet, but the vet team were very kind and patient with her. Thank you so much!!! (Pic of Mia safely at home in NZ thanks to Melanie & her team)"
"I just want to say a big thank you to everyone at QP Vet for all the love and support they have given me and my dog Roxy over the past 7 years. There are no word especially to Mel and Sophie for there love and kindness on Thursday (9th April 2020) when we had to have my beloved Roxy put to sleep. THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART I have great respect and admiration to to everyone there not just the ladies there now but the previous vets Zaila, Rania, Ntora & Chris Roxy loved you guys and I thank you. I will never forget any of you."
