Reviews of The Wee Red Bar
"Wonderful, greatest student bar in the world."
"A wonderful venue in Edinburgh College of Art for the major play This Is Memorial Device at Edinburgh International Book Festival."
"went there for a concert. the sound and light were very good for that small venue. sadly their beer from tap is not so great BUT they always have some nice canned/bottled craft beers. very friendly staff!"
"This great wee bar is difficult to find. We found the entrance from Lady Lawson Street, up a side lane. With that out of the way, the Wee Red Bar, has a great little bar with reasonably-priced drinks, an awesome stage for gigs, cool lighting and an absolutely stellar sound. And still close enough to walk to The Grassmarket and the Cowgate for other gigs if you’re doing the rounds."
"I read a review that said this was the place to go for indie music, after walking from the grass market and paying £5 for entry there were less than 10 people there and the music was not indie. We went on the Friday night, after chatting to the bar staff Saturday night usually pulls a crowd of approx 50 so make sure you go on the right night. Beer selection was poor, but cheap. The staff were lovely people."
