"The rooms were okay and clean. But the bed was so uncomfortable it was hard to find any rest. First we were located next to a highway, which was too noisy, then we were able to switch rooms which was really nice of the staff. But it seemed it was even hotter there than in the other room (You could not exist without opening a window). Going through the corridor was going through thick hot air which has been there presumably since the building was erected. I can't understand how a building without any ventilation would be build. If they would let out the hot air, climate change will be inevitable. Besides that, a good location and not too expensive for edinburgh."
"Rooms are tiny but fine. The walls are scuffed and worn. The location is superb and the the price was okay I guess. But the heat.... The outside temperature was 13 degree's, but it was tropical inside. There is no airflow in the rooms and the window to the outside is only able to open a little bit. There is absolutely no ventilation in the hallways. It's stuffy and hot. You should only stay here as a last resort or if you want the experience the sweltering heat of the tropics in wonderful Edinburgh."
"Rooms are cute and just big enough for one person, staff was friendly but the big problem is no airflow! The windows only crack open a couple of inches and are completely useless and it was baking hot! I managed to get “the last” fan from reception which sort of helped. Also they put an £800 hold on my account for a £150 stay!! I still can’t believe they did that."
"Stayed here for The Eagles gig at Murrayfield. location is 2 minutes walk from Holyrood and therefore v close to most things. Room was clean and basic being basically student accommodation. 100 deposit was a bit steep for a 70 room I thought as there's not really too much you could break. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service given as a 3 star as there wasn't much need. I took my own towel rather than paying for one."
"Wish you had 1/4 star... Demanded £100 security deposit without warning. No bath towels, they didn't even mention it at check in, we were undressed and ready to shower when we realized, staff was flip with us and demanded £3 per towel, when we expressed our surprise we were told, do you want it or not? None of this is stated on the booking site, I just double checked! Bed is tiny! Room is incredibly hot, window tilts open 1 inch! At $160 you can do so much better than this! Thank my lucky stars it's just for one night! What a terrible way to start our vacation."
