"Stayed while visiting Holyrood palace can walk to palace but lots of steep banks or £10 by taxi food pub grub decent cooked. Good beer rooms clean tidy staff lovely"
"Great service. All staff were very friendly and polite. Food was great and staff helpful with allergies. Clean, quiet rooms. Good location for regular buses into the city."
"I normally love a stay in a premier inn. Never had an issue. So imagine my disappointment staying at this place. Why? Had to stand 10 mins at reception to book in even though I rang the bell several times, what made it worse we could see a member of staff through a gap in a door standing having a cigarette. When booking in was told they may have charged me twice for eating there but just to phone if I had been. Not sure why they couldn’t fix at the time. Parking a bit of a lottery. Didn’t dare travel at night as no guarantee parking would be available one I returned and nowhere else to park. Meal in evening was average. But what made it worse was the staff. I have never experienced such poor service. They were uninterested, made us feel as though we were an inconvenience and made minimal contact with us. When I went into bar at night, admittedly 10pm which I didn’t realise it closed then, all I got was we called last orders from barmaid. Didn’t even look up from what she was doing and this lack of interest and service just topped of an already awful night. During the evening they held a bingo night in the bar which is attached to the hotel. The noise generated from this was almost unbearable, so loud that we couldn’t hear the tv properly. In the morning we went to breakfast and was showed to our seats by someone wearing a raincoat. Obviously just started her shift but based on the night before she service we thought here we go again. But I take all of that back. The service in the morning and the food were excellent. It was like we were in a different hotel. So the 2 stars are earned by the morning staff. 1 taken off for the noise and 2 taken off by the awful staff in the evening. It hasn’t put me off using premier inn again just not in this one."
"BEWARE Of Room 216! The first night there was okay but the four nights were terrifying. I saw shadow man at the bottom of the bed, skin walker shadow thing on the ceiling above the bed, two shadow people at the window and another two at the door and an old woman wearing a purple hat. I would advice you to keep a light on, avoid the mirrors and close the bathroom door. You have been warned! Anyways onto the good. The front desk staff were very nice and welcoming. Bed was very comfortable. The room held heat well. Easy parking. On to the bad. Shower was hard to use as it was attached to the wall which made it difficult to clean my butt properly. The room was dusty and triggered my allergies. WiFi was garbage. Next door was very noisy."
"Great Premier Inn with attentive staff. Exceptionally clean room with a really comfy bed. The only thing missing were drawers for our clothing, but considering the price paid for the room, thats a very minor issue. Food wise, the quality is more than acceptable and the choice plentiful. All in all a great place to stay with the added bonus of bus stops to the city centre right outside."
