"I had a lovely experience with this hostel. It definitely depends on your comfort standards and of what you are expecting of an hostel tho! In this case, if you are young (at least at heart) and open to socialize, and if you do not need the MOST comfortable bed on earth, then you will be fine! It is a good stop in an adventure and I have rarely seen a loveliest diverse staff in a hostel. You will 1000% feel safe as a woman or an LGBTQ+ person, and that's a relief. There is also a nice garden to take your tea in, comfortable areas and a great kitchen. But if you are seeking absolute quiet and stern roommates, it is not gonna be to your liking."
"Fabulous stay and met even fun people! Cheap, clean and vibey place. If solo travelling or in a pair do stay here. The hosts at the reception were two sweet ladies and they themselves were travellers to volunteered there for a couple of months. I only stayed for two nights and that day there was a chance to see the Aurora. We went to the beach in the middle of the night and tried to light a fire for 3 hours. Didn’t see the Aurora but lovely people to hang out with!"
"This has got to be the worst place you could stay at. No large lockers. Cases are stuffed in a laundry room. Rooms smell. Bedding is atrocious. Kitchen is always messy. Showers are terrible. They go from warm to cold whilst you are using them. Staff are ignorant. They play music that suits them, not the guests. The staff have no customer service skills whatsoever. The Hostel run by people who can barely speak a word of English. They have taken the guest rooms just for their volunteers because there are that many of them. The manager hasn't got a clue how to treat people. The only things that the staff are interested in, is going out and going to gym. Avoid this place at all costs."
"The location is amazing and my room was really good. This would have been a much higher review but the workers made this stay not enjoyable. When you go to hostels you want to meet people and socialise, but this hostel has around 15 people who worked for free rooms and stay for months at a time, and they thought the place was their own personal flat. The lounge was constantly full of the workers who excluded guests, stared at us if we dared sit in there, made us feel unwelcome and stayed up till nearly 1 am with parties or loudly hanging out. So if you don’t want to feel like a unwanted guest by these unwelcoming workers I suggest not going to this location for at least 6 months until all these people leave."
"Stayed in a co-ed 14 bed room. Experience was mostly positive. Staff was helpful and friendly and location is great. I felt very safe at all times. Bathrooms and showers were sub par, but if you're just staying for a short time its not a big deal."
