"Nice tidy shop with reasonably priced items but the sales people try to upsale everything. We just wanted 1 item but they tried to sell us so many extras etc. We did buy the product we went in for but didn't buy any of the extras. This really put us off going into Currys again. If we had wanted other items we would have asked for them."
"I needed a new inkjet printer. There was a good range from which to choose. The saleswoman was very helpful and knowledgeable. Curry's prices are very competitive. I always check online against the same item from other suppliers. The printer I bought from Curry's was the best price available."
"Staff are unaware of consumer legislation around return of items. Can I make clear here there is no such thing as a 12 month warranty for items. The consumer rights act 2015 clearly states this and the return period is anything up to 5 years depending on the expected life span of the product. Very combative and dismissive when asking about returning an item. Eventually upon speaker to senior staff was given the out of warranty contact. Why wasn't I immediately given this? Instead I was treated with hostility and pressured to leave. Staff kept parroting that there is a twelve month warranty suggesting they are not being trained properly or they are being trained to lie to customers about their rights. I simply cannot believe that in 2023 they are still trying this rubbish out. I have still yet to get a response from out of warranty team and it's been 7 days. A £500 Chromebook should last longer than 14 months. I will update if the warranty team get back to me big not I will pursue through the small courts and the simple procedure where I will get my money back. Currys, learn the law, and respect your customers."
"Went to purchase 2 Ipads in store. Was told to order online to get price match. I came home went online and was connected to an online web chat with a person called Nitin. I was disgusted with the response and manner of this agent and when I went back to attach the code they had cut me off. Curry's do not want to price match and the customer service is atrocious. Better to buy from other companies."
"I was laptop shopping and found a very knowledgeable and helpful guy called Michael. He checked what I use my laptop for and found me just the thing and with a great black Friday deal. I returned with my current laptop and another friend, helpful guy transferred all my data to the new one. Even staff not serving me had ready smiles. I'll be back."
