"I never leave negative reviews but we booked a taxi for 6 people to Manchester airport 1 day in advance for flights to australia .. when the driver did not arrive at the time we called and they said they were on their way. 15 minutes later they still had not arrived .. we called back and they said they did not have a 6 seater available and could send us one car which was 15 minutes away from us!! we had to cancel and call round several friends and family to come immediately. had we left it to this horrendous service we would have been out thousands of pounds on missed flights! Will never use again!"

"Just lost faith in Excel taxis. Booked about noon for a 5.15 pm pick up. Finally arrived at 7pm. So I not only missed the meeting I had planned to attend but also the connected meal. DOJ"

"Absolutely disgusting - ordered my taxi Saturday morning to make sure I arrived at our Christmas Party at Anfield for 7.10pm. By 7pm still hadn't turned up, phoned One Call and was told they were still trying to find a taxi for me excuse me what? I ordered it before 11.30am????? Cancelled the taxi due to them not even apologising. Could not get another taxi for love nor money so ended up not going after saving up for my ticket. Thank you Excel you disgusting people not only did I miss a fab night out you lost me a lot of money give yourselves a pat on the back (not). would not recommend this taxi firm - shame on you."

"Ordered a cab with Excel on Sunday, was told it would take 10 minutes and it took over 30. With one hour's notice I ordered a cab again on Monday (more fool me) to get to Liverpool Lime St train station to get a train to Manchester airport for a flight. It didn't arrive at the agreed time and still wasn't there 30 minutes later despite me putting in a call to chase. I had to call another cab company which arrived in 3 minutes. Still, I just missed the train and had to pay the new cab £50 inc. tip to drive me to Manchester airport so I didn't miss my flight. Won't be using Excel again."

"Today I needed to get a taxi back from the doctors as I have a poorly leg and I decided to use this company. I was initially told my taxi would arrive within 20 minutes. After half an hour had passed I called back the company to see how long my taxi would be as it was already overdue. I was told 2 minutes. A further 10 minutes passed, so I called again to see if my taxi had gotten lost or see if there were any complications. Yet again I was told 2 minutes. In the end my taxi arrived an hour after I had initially booked it which meant I had been waiting for 45 minutes in the rain. However the wait was not my only issue as I am aware that taxi companies can be busy. My main issue was the fact that this taxi company was not honest with me about how long my wait would be, telling me 2 minutes when it was really half an hour after I had already been waiting for half an hour. Do not use this company, they are unreliable and you will most likely end up an hour late to your destination."
