"We were pleasantly surprised. Sometimes old buildings like these can be very run down and tired but this one looked well maintained and is packed full of character features. Much nicer than going to a bland modern hotel. We only stayed the one night ahead of a visit to Harrogate hospital but we would definitely be happy to use the hotel again."
"Rooms were clean and warm if a bit dated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was OK but not great. Vegetables so overcooked they were dry and hard. Breakfast was like warm. Choice on breakfast buffet none existing. Its OK but over all not great. But we must say the beds were very comfortable."
"Very nice place to stay, easy walking to the town centre and Valley gardens. Massive car park so excellent base for touring . So lovely to be in a proper town that has bustling streets with all the familiar names and some different ones. No charity shops as far as i could see. Well done Harrogate for not letting plastic boxes in out of town malls steal your customers. If only more places had the sense to do the same. Got a couple of real bargains. X"
"Hotel is in a good location in Harrogate. Rooms are a bit tired, but some have been upgraded. Food was good but not exceptional. Served hot and efficiently. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Entertainment each evening was a bonus. All in all good value for the price."
