"A lovely clean and spacious hotel with very friendly and professional staff. Would like to mention one member of staff in particular who went above and beyond who provided an exceptional service. They’re a credit to your hotel. Please pass on my thanks to Ellie who served me in the restaurant, she was very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely visit the hotel again."

"Overall a great location and the room we had was very nice. The only huge disappointment we had was that we were told it wasn't possible to reserve a car parking space, however, when we got there we were annoyed to find that every space in the car park, without exception, had a reserved sign on it. I don't mind if a hotel has a reservation policy for the car park or not, but if they do decide to have a strict none reservation policy then that should apply to everyone."

"Room was clean and tidy. Bit dated but fine. Breakfast was fautless. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking an absolute nightmare as road works all over ,but that's nothing to do with hotel. Hotel could do with lick of paint... specially reception ceiling. Otherwise had lovely stay"

"We'll be back! Gorgeous building that felt very grand and luxurious. Rooms a little shabby in places but quite honestly it added character! Old buildings can't be perfect. Room was absolutely huge, felt like an apartment, and genuinely seemed like a home from home for the weekend. Breakfast was lovely also and the hotel is a couple minutes walk from all the best bars and restaurants as well as being around the corner from Betty's. Unlikely to get parked at the hotel but Jubilee Car Park is a short walk and very affordable even for an entire weekend."

"The hotel is in dire need of refurbishment and modernising, although the location is superb. We were greeted rather solemnly and curtly by every member of staff we came in to contact with, it seems to be lacking in morale amongst the team so change in leadership and/or some staff training in customer service skills would enhance guest experience. It’s a beautiful historic setting, it just needs some love breathing into it. Our breakfast was satisfactory and the dining room is beautiful however the bar lacked any atmosphere and was not at all inviting."
