Full Circle

"I have been working with Marianna for nearly two years on and off, going back shortly after COVID. I was in a very low place and had no energy for life at all, I had high level of anxiety and needed help. At first, I didn’t even know what I was going to counselling for, where to start? Was this the right counsellor for me? But with Marianna I instantly felt in a safe place and comfortable. I was able to share over time and slowly ‘unpack’ all what had got me to such a low place. Some sessions all I needed was talking sessions and other times more practical exercises as and when I was ready. Each session went at my pace and with Marianna’s guidance. I never felt pressured to move at a faster speed or left feeling worse. 6 months later I lost my husband suddenly, having this support already in place with someone I trusted was no doubt the reason I have reached the more settled place I am today. Working through the grief and building on what we had already been working on, it has been invaluable. I feel I am ready to start building a life I want to lead and not what I think I should lead, for the first time I have energy for life and excitement to move forward. It was clear from my first session that Marianna was invested in providing me with the best support and would not continue to work with me if she couldn’t help, this was important for me in a field where there are many therapists and counsellors on offer. It was an investment in me that I made which I have never regretted. I am continuing with my sessions for as long as I gain from them.
