"Wonderful staff, rooms and amenities. We arrived jet-lagged after a long trip from Canada and the receptionist went out of her way to accommodate early check-in. The food in the dining room was well prepared and tasty and the wait staff cheerful and helpful. We held a family gathering on Sunday afternoon and the buffet provided was elegant and plentiful. Highly recommended destination!"

"Amazing pub. Beautiful, quirky rooms, full of character and perfectly well sized. The proportions were spot on- I had a cosy double but I didn't need any more space and would book the same room if I was with my hubby (here on business just now). I sat in the bar for a few hours on a Sunday and did some work. The staff were attentive, kind and so considerate. I had food and drink and it was all amazing- the banoffee pizza is brilliant! I cannot recommend the pub more. I would absolutely stay here again and the people made it. Thank you so much to everyone in the team for such a lovely stay!"

"The hotel is impeccable in its detail with every detail thought of. The only downside is the small carpark which was full when I arrived but if you pre-book when booking your room you can pay £10 extra to guarantee a place. Otherwise a lovely stay and can highly recommend"

"The room was ok however the shower was useless and needed descaling and cleaning & the mattress was uncomfortable, as we were shown the room by the receptionist we pointed out to her the massive crack in the mirror of the vanity unit. The restaurant setting and decor promises excellence and suggests fresh cooked food however the food is in texture and taste very below par, the onion rings were 80% grease the burger was dry with burnt bacon and the beef bourguignon meat was tough almost suggesting that it was premade, frozen and then reheated. The staff were nice enough but failed to observe the tables for example when working in a restaurant it is important that no matter where you are going as you pass each table you look to check everything and even if you are busy or it's not your section you acknowledge the table and it's state and if you can not attend you ask a colleague or go back when you can but it is important to at least acknowledge the customer and or situation. The full English breakfast was cold, bland and the black pudding was half cooked. The hotel and restaurant both have the potential to be the excellent experience that the decor and prices they charge suggests but it has failed massively."
