"On arrival reception staff were excellent didn't get the name of the gentleman who checked us in but was very welcoming & attentive nothing was too much bother looked after us. It was a double birthday celebration our daughter is at Royal Holloway university so we all had a meal to celebrate birthdays. Our room was superb & they had put balloons & a birthday card what a lovely surprise. Our meal was excellent & staff worked hard & again attentive & helpful. The only downside was the bar, staff did not know how to do an Irish coffee & there was a mix up with charges & refund manager was not very helpful or welcoming reception sorted our concerns Booked our meal to the room so when checking out charged twice it took over five days to sort out very disappointed. Overall I would recommend this beautiful hotel, it's a hidden gem...."
"Visited the hotel recently for the first time and it was brilliant! All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and the breakfast was brilliant. The facilities are great for a relaxing getaway. I would’ve liked there to have been a few more different beverage options at breakfast but regardless we had a great time and we will be returning in the future!"
"Just had my daughter Sophie‘s wedding here on Friday and it was absolutely fantastic, thank you. The suites were beautiful and all of the staff are wonderful, especially a lady called Dee on reception who was so helpful. She told us she had only just started a few months ago but she was so knowledgeable and so kind and went out of her way to help us. Thank you for a beautiful day and to all your wonderful staff we will never forget it xx"
"Spent three nights on a business trip. You cannot argue that the surroundings are beautiful and there are lots of green areas to access directly from the hotel. The building itself is huge and if you end up in one of the furthest rooms it takes some time to get back to the main entrance. Not recommended if you have problems walking. The room I had was nothing out of the ordinary but had all the general equipment you'd expect (desk, cattle, teas, iron board etc.). There was no AC (at least neither me or my colleagues could find any) and the only way to get some fresh air was by opening the garden doors. Which could not be open fully die to a locked security chain. There was no toilet brush which I found odd. The room I was in had was connected to another through a tiny hall with a shared door to the main corridor. When the guest from the other room came in at night the main door slammed shut with a rather big bang that woke me up. The bed was comfortable. Food overall was not that exiting and the service was ok but not professional as would be expected in this establishment. Breakfast was good but the room where breakfast was served is not suitable for 50 or more people talking. It echoes and sounds more like a kindergarten than a hotel. I found it hard to have a conversation with the noise around. The gym was good with enough machines and weights to fit most needs."
"Good hotel with a modern feel and ample gardens. It is very large hotel and it hosts weddings and conferences on a regular basis, so it is busy. That said, it is spacious and it didn't feel overcrowded. It does have to cater for many guests, so sometimes you may feel they are going for quantity rather than quality. Nevertheless, we had good meals in both of the restaurants, generous in quantity and with decent ingredients. Great location to explore Windsor and surrounding areas."
