"All they do is take your money!!!! Was recommended via Northampton Volkswagen's to take alloy and scratch and dent insurance so when I'm ready to sell my car, I can renew my wheels or any other damages. And of course as I trusted in person who was dealing with me he I asked him, how it works. What he said is don't worry now if you do any damages wait till the end of insurance or if you decide to sell your car then make it claim and you'll have new wheels . I aggreeiwith him and was happy to buy this policy. He send me papers via email, and that's it. Paid £400 as he gave me £100 discount. Fare enough, seems good guy trusted him. and now when time came to do claim, contacted motorclaim ltd. They asked to send pictures and I send them. Ok few weeks later, nothing. The texted them to see what's going on, got back same day, they waiting for estate, but in order to proceed claims, they requere from me dates when srcahes and dents happened. Which makes no sense why they need that. Listen to this! According to their policy dates required because of this trick. You have to make a claim within 14 days after damaged rim or any other part of car. This makes no sense earher. You damage one wheel and start making claim, by the time they sort you out you my have another damage, then while you lose your car for probably week or so, you start another claim paperwork. And so on. So basically your just picked up car and sending back again for another repair. I can go on anon about it. So the moral is: insurance companies will not tell you what they don't want you to know. And car dealers will try to sell as much as they can to get their comission higher. Save your £500 and don't buy these silly insurances. One wheel cost to repair £40-£70 . Insurance and car dealers work together to rip money from people as much as they can! Or if you still want to buy it, read therms and conditions before you sign anything. And yes Motorway direct, you should inform and explain people all the details before they buy . Not just throw paper to sign and shake hands with doggy smile."
"I have taken extended warranty with a second hand car. It had been giving trouble ever since buying. On two occassions, the showroom contacted warranty team for authorising repair costs. On one occasion, they covered part if the repair costs and the response was quick enough. Although no communication with me about what they are laying for and what they are not!!!! On second occassion (during COVID-19 to be fair), the response from them was extremely slow and poor communication leading to delay in authorising part of payment and car was with garage for 3.5 weeks!!!. Again, I had to ask them numerous times to explain the breakdown of what payment is covered by them and what not!!! When the cost is nearing £2400, you would like to know not just showroom (they communicate only with garage), so you need to know whether you have funds to pay. Because, you have to pay for the costs and claim from them later ( they won't pay directly to showroom!!!). The warranty pays £45 per hour (excl VAT) labour costs, whereas dealer charge £105/hr. If care needs good 5- 8hrs which is often the case, you have to pay from your pocket a big contribution. I have not chosen motorway direct myself but was offered when purchased used car through a dealer. It is worth checking the terms and conditions and what is covered and not covered when buying warranty. Also customer service/could communication with customers certainly could improve."
"A complete waste of time and money having a motor warranty with this lot. I recently had an issue with my car which I needed seeing to as a key worker I relied on my car. Spoke with Motorway direct claim handler Nathan, I told him that the issue was electrical. He advised me to take my car to any auto electrician near to me of my choice. Diagnostics were carried out and the quote submitted. Motorway direct rejected the claim on the grounds that wiring is not covered. At no point when communicating with Nathan did he tell me this, are there any electrical jobs that do not require some kind of wiring? Now I have a car sat in a garage with a bill for over £200 that I can not afford to pay, Motorway Direct have refused to acknowledge that I acted on their instruction and they absolutely will not uphold the claim. Until I can get the money to repair the car I am now left to get four buses per day to and from work completely exposed to the current pandemic on public transport and returning home to my three young children. Maybe the world will be a better place after this pandemic goes away but Motorway Direct will never be part of that."
"Been a customer with executive warranty cover on my Mercedes and when a turbo and a split pipe needed a replacement of 800 quid they said it was not covered. What's the point of premium cover when nothing is covered. Cancelled the policy faster then turning light on. Also calling the claims line took me well over 30mins to get though at 439pm. Its rubbish service. Don't bother with this company. Waste of time and money."
"Do not take out this Warranty for your car. I made the mistake of doing this. Basically My vehicle is under warranty by this company which I had bought when I purchased my car. My car broke down in the first week of January 2019 therefore I contacted the warranty claims department and gave them all the necessary details and was reassured that it would be covered under warranty. They told me to take my car to an approved garage in slough, however that garage was permanently closed. Then I was told to take my car to another approved garage halfords auto centre in slough. After my car was there for one day I received a call saying they are unable to connect to the ECU of my car. Then I was advised to take it to another approved garage in hayes. I was advised by the mechanic in hayes that he would not be able to even check if it's the ECU and he then told me to take it to a Vauxhall main dealer. I then contacted my warranty, the advisor told me to take it to advanced Vauxhall in slough. We towed the vehicle there, paid £384 for diagnostic checks but still no one could repair the car. Again, I contacted the warranty and the advisor said take it to hayes autos an approved garage, the same garage that even refused to check the ECU. The vehicle was taken there and they had the ECU checked independently and their report showed that the ECU was fine!! I was then told by them that the car has to be towed back to Vauxhall garage in slough for a software code. So on 13th March my car was towed back to them. Now after doing their diagnostic checks again they are still saying they need to change the ECU. So we are back to square one. The car has been going back and forth since January which is very frustrating. I would like to complain about the service I have received from this warranty company and its approved garages. I have made hundreds of phone calls spoke to so many advisers and always requested to get an update at least. I regret to say I have never had any updates whatsoever even after being promised phone calls. This is by each and every advisor I have spoken to so it's not that there is a few people who lack the ability to handle customers in the correct way. Surely, they should not give false messages to customers saying yes we will update you. I feel this is un acceptable way of dealing with customers. I have had to chase around all these garages and the warranty which I shouldn't have to do at all. I have been without my car since January and the car hasn't even begun to get repaired. I've never heard of anything like this in the UK. I never thought that making a claim under a warranty which I have paid for would be this complicating and this slow. Nearly 4 months since I put in my claim and I haven't got my car back. This company is very quick to get you to buy their warranty but so slow in providing services. Beware of this unprofessional and useless company."
