Reviews of Royal Festival Hall
"Saw the Philharmonic Orchestra perform on a Sunday evening. I arrived about half an hour before so we went and looked out off the balcony on the fifth floor to see the Thames, Big Ben and The London Eye all lit up. The staff at the door helped us find our seats and we sat down in an almost empty theatre. Within just ten minutes there were plenty more people and then the show began. The ceiling of the hall is designed in a way that helps the sound of music travel all the way up to the balcony. I would love to go again."
"What a fantastic historic London venue! To be honest I don’t think the buildings look from the outside (large concrete block) does it any justice. Inside it’s stunning and houses and the huge Festival Hall as well as big dance floor and event space. There is a large bar at ground level, as well as bars on each of the upper floors, including a top floor bar which has a balcony overlooking London and The Thames. I lovely spot for a drink before the concert. There are toilets on each of the floors (useful to know as there is often a long queue for the ground floor toilets at busy times)"
"Excellent venue located on the banks of the river Thames very accessible - we popped into there on a Sunday. There were lots of food stalls outside selling many international dishes. Inside lots of stalls relating to international women’s day. Toilets were very clean, initially sandwiches needed replenishing. When we came back a few hours later the cafe was packed and the fridges, food shelves had been refilled. Staff professional and approachable. We found some comfy seating afterwards to kick back and relax. A live band came on, and it was a nice end to our day. I will return to visit the National poetry library as I need more time to take it all in!"
"Security on the door could have been a bit more friendly but other than that this place is gorgeous! Having been several times the beauty never ceases and the music hall is spectacular! Decent vegan food options too which is nice and great sweeping views. Highly recommend"
