Reviews of Saltley Academy
"If you are considering going to this school, please see this urgently. This school is very corrupt, alot of the classrooms are run-down and in horrendous condition. The teachers aren't any good too, there's no "Mental Health Day" either. Alot of fights have been happening since the school year started. Furthermore, the amount of sexism is surprising. Example: You line up for lunch, there's a line with some girls and boys, and the other line, is full of girls, the line full of girls is not in a single-file line and is almost a crowd. However, the line with some girls and boys are lined neatly, perfectly. Yet the teacher (Not indentifying name) allows the whole line of girls to go inside the dining hall. This is one of many things happening. Last thing, the pupils don't have much respect from my experience. They crave and die for attention and it is honestly silly. Sending your child to this school won't end up well. I will not reveal my identity as I will stay anonymous. Lastly, these things do not happen all the time, sometimes it's a normal day. Farewell."
"The way the school is run is an absolute joke. Kids not allowed phones, so you have to call the receptionist who NEVER picks up. On numerous occasions, I have called several times without any luck. On urgent occasions, i have had to physically go to school and found the receptionist on her phone texting. Completely unprofessional"
"I mean its okay and the teachers are nice but maybe don't put so much pressure on us with all the homework and consequences. At the end of the day we are kids. We already have about 6 hours to learn at school so why put our time into work and stuff in the holidays. When you forget your homework BOOM you get a detention. Just wanted to share my opinion of this school and was not intended to hurt anyone."
"Great school , I go to saltley and I am in yr 7 . In my opinion it's an excellent school because you learn a lot . Even though you get c3s it's still a good school because well some kids deserve it and you learn from your mistakes. Most of the teachers are really nice and when you talk to them you feel like they are really close friends. In addition, the school may sometimes be challenging for some students , but that does not matter because the more the school is challenging the more students will start developing their skills in competing . As a school we all care for each other . We are all friends . We are all outstanding learners. We say no to bullying and yes to other religions. Also when we don't understand something we either try guessing it ( being resilient) , ask someone that knows or ask the teacher for help."
