"Birmingham best state funded school for getting pupils into oxbridge has been reveaied by the latest figures king Edward vi school for boys has the best record of any such school in Birmingham for getting its students into Oxford & Cambridge with a total of 11 of the schools 2020 graduates being accepted to the universities this year located: grove lane Handsworth Birmingham B21 9ET"
"Student support is terrible they don’t care about anyone just money and statistics. (A small number of teachers are helpful) but for the most part the whole senior team are useless. The maths department is great. The science and English departments are decent. The computer science department is awful the teachers have 1990s knowledge of computers back when they were coding in pascal and none of it relates to today. History department is good too, rest is just average. Facilities are poor and the school offer hardly any extra curricular activities. Canteen has no variety too, ate chicken burgers everyday for years. If you want a school with tons of student , teacher support and a range of extra curricular activities to do. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. The sixth form is awful too there’s about 200 students cramped into a tiny building and you can’t even leave for lunch half the days."
"It is fair to say this school has changed dramatically in the last decade let alone the last 100 years. It’s unfortunate to hear about some of the experiences other reviewers have had but I can assure you the school, it’s pupils and the whole community in general has changed dramatically for the better. The current Headmaster is cut throat in his ways and doesn’t allow for any funny business to occur. If such silly incidents occur, however, they are met with due action and students are appropriately punished. It is no wonder OFSTED has rated the school OUTSTANDING on multiple reports. The school is diverse throughout with a respectful and open minded student body and faculty. Fear not parents, sending your child here will not be a mistake and I can assure you they will have a great experience with an abundance of opportunities."
"Kids aren't treated well in this school and the Heads/ teachers / Pa's are very rude to the parents. They simply do not care about the children , intimidate and fob them off, simply numbers that mean extra money for them. Teachers are mainly of southern Asian origin. I wouldn’t recommend at all."
