"Lovely hotel but a bit tired looking. Staff very good. Breakfast was fantastic. Just fell down on a few things. I requested interconnecting rooms and was told my request was granted. On arrival apparently the deluxe rooms aren't interconnecting - only the double standard rooms. Not a big issue but would have been nice to know. Secondly I received an email on the actual day of arrival to say the bistro was closed. No advanced notice given. This also meant no room service. Had to walk out of hotel to the boathouse. Children by this time very tired so we collected pizzas from elsewhere and ate in our rooms. Would have been OK if bistro kitchen open as we could have ordered pizzas from room service instead. Other than that would definitely stay again."
"We went as a family, with 2 kids, and booked one of the apartments, the service was fantastic, location was also good but you need a car to go to nearby places or shops etc. So we went in December, it was extremely cold and most of the days we stayed indoors, the rooms are fairly outdated despite of, looking great when you enter, the carpets were old and only central heating which, as soon as you turn down it switched off. It would have been good to have swimming pool facilities without having to book a SPA. Overall not a kids friendly place during the winter. We had a beautiful view of the lake and that's the only thing that helped us enjoy the week we stayed. Maybe a summer experience would have been different."
"Stunning. Room overlooking the lake with a balcony. Bed was very comfortable. Has a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in room along with tea and coffee facilities plus a fridge. Shower was amazing I didn’t want to get out. We had a meal in the restaurant I had the sea bass and it was spot on. Visited the spa and had a full body massage, it was my first ever one so I didn’t know what to expect. Came out of their walking on air I felt so relaxed. Had a swim as well, you need to have booked a treatment to use the swimming pool which I feel is a bit wrong especially since this hotel isn’t cheap. As I had had one it wasn’t an issue for us. Pool isnt the biggest but has a steam room and a sauna in it as well. There are quite a few jets around the pool. All in all had a great stay the hotel is beautiful you can walk round the lake but you don’t see the lake most of the way round as there are bushes. Would I recommend yes 100%, go on spoil yourself"
"Stayed here for a couple of nights for a break. No issues at all. The room was lovely with a view of the lake. We had breakfast each morning which was delicious with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and great if you have a little dog to go on holiday with Would recommend."
"I’d give this hotel 3.5 stars if I could. On one side; my sisters and I had a lovely time and there are lots of positives, however, there were many things that could’ve been better. Bright side; so many amenities/facilities - a spa, pool, gym, huge car park, different restaurants, gorgeous lake views, nice bar/lobby area, The Pantry for snacks etc. The beds were and good shower pressure too, also they gave us adjoining rooms which was a fab touch. Also liked the fact it was a short 10 min drive into Cirencester town centre. Not so great; the mould/damp on the bathroom ceiling. The hot breakfast wasn’t too great, the food items felt cheap/not very flavourful or of a good quality. I’ve never been to a hotel with so many dogs before - one of my sisters is scared of them plus we saw a dog sat on the chair in the lobby and also saw someone feed their dog from one of the breakfast bowls which made us feel a little cautious about hygiene levels. So, we had a lovely time and there were lots of positives but it was still a bit of a mixed bag."
