Chadwell Heath Dental Practice

"First and foremost, atrocious front desk service. It takes 5-6 times for them to answer the phone just to book an appointment. In person it becomes worse, they provide absolutely horrible customer service. I had to wait for one hour to be seen by a dentist even though I had an appointment. I was told by the front desk I was "very late", even though I was queuing for 10 minutes. During this time she refused to acknowledge my presence, even though she was very much free to do so. After finally being seen, the dentist offered me silver fillings for a tooth because apparently the NHS can't afford the white material. He insisted he can only do those in private for a significantly higher price. However, I have had a feeling done before in an NHS practice and never heard anything about this. Furthermore, I know several people who have had fillings done in NHS practices and they were flabbergasted by my story. I'd imagine most people reading this will react the same way."

"My kids have been seeing Dr Farrukh and her nurse Tracey for the last few years. Dr Farrukh is very gentle and understanding. Constantly checking if my Kids were comfortable during their treatment. Reception staff were lovely."

"You are forced to fill in the same extremely lengthy form before each and every appointment, even if your appointment is only days apart. Also God forbid you didn't do it just once they'll make you do it right there. Don't care if you're visually impaired, won't compromise nor will help you out. My mother is partially blind, so can't read anymore. I had to video call her and direct her hand on where to mark what and where to fill out the forms, since they said they cancel the appointment if she doesn't fill it out right now herself. Furthermore they make a big deal out of it if you're even barely 5 minutes late, but will also give out appointments for 2:00pm sharp then make the patients who had to come early because of this wait outside as it's break time from 1 to 2 ; not caring if it's cold and raining they won't open the doors until after 2:00. Ended up catching a cold because of this. They simply complicate things for their patients unnecessarily"

"Dentist that I see is good. Careful treatment and technically good. But reception 9 out of 10 times overswamped. Phone recently never gets answered or is engaged/taken off the hook. I know it's a business but why take on so many patients if you can't deal with them? I need prompt appointment and can't get through to secure something. The receptionists do try their best...its not an easy job, as long as they remember to smile I'm sure everything will be fine. But I'd prefer if it was converted to a private dentists...!"

"My son visited this dentist a few years back and they are absolutely amazing. Today I called for my daughter who needs root treatment under sedation and the receptionist so lovely."
