"Bike service. I booked an appointment in advance by phone, brought my bike, it was assessed and only after that I was told that actually I can't leave the bike as they booked for another 6 weeks at least. Would be really helpful if someone advised upfront."
"Ordered an item online last night as it was in stock and ready for collection at 9am next day. Obviously it wasn't in stock, got a call, returned the call, said the store manager would call me - obviously was never going to call. Money refunded rather than own the problem. Absolute shower but to be expected the moment I clicked on Halfords website. Wonder if all customers get this shoddy service, we can all do a good job when its simple - It's how you deal with challenges that define your service, which in this instance you bottled it rather than own it."
"Very pleased with the service delivery (fitting a replacement side light bulb). I asked Adrian to check the battery as I was told this was offered free of charge. Not only Adrian tested the battery, he also kindly secured it by tightening the bolts. Thank you Adrian, this is brilliant customer service."
"I purchased a car seat and asked if I could take the display model to see if it fitted well in my car (small car) parked right outside wouldn’t let me offered to leave my keys with them still no. I had already Looked at car seats on line and there were plenty of fitting appointments for the date and time that I was going but I did not want to purchase online as I wanted to physically see it. I purchased a car seat and asked for a fitting appointment (I would have gone back a bit later) I was told there was none the salesperson didn’t even check or at least pretend to check!!! Very unhelpful especially when making an important and expensive purchase!"
"Quite annoying that advertised opening hours are till 8PM. However they close the shutters and doors at 7.40PM. Seems somewhat inappropriate considering most people work till 5-6PM and can barely make it down in time to pick-up some de-icer. Almost makes you delighted that brick & mortar stores like this will become irrelevant soon enough. I understand employees want to go home - close 5 mins early not 15-20mins OR change your opening hours, so as not to waste people's time. Do yourselves a favour people, spend the petrol on travelling here to order from Amazon instead and get prime delivery rather than wasting fuel - atleast you get the product in the end. Not my first bad experience here."
