Howdens - Solihull

"Had an entire new kitchen from Howdens. Cheaper than magent or wren, but still not cheap. Design process was good, staff were friendly. However delivery was Terrible, came in three lots over more than two weeks meaning our fitter could not start until all cupboards delivered. Then we find not everything had been ordered correctly and had to chase...then told yes that *we the customer* only ordered the door for that cupboard...so it our fault for not ordering the sides and back of a cupboard when we the customer said yes we want that cupboard. Then we found that the measurement of our space was slightly off meaning the parts delivered would not all fit. Apparently the cupboards not fitting is again the customers problem to fix. When told about it, I was told they measured correctly and the cupboards would fit...that was the extent of Howdens help. Definitely would NOT recommend howdens for a new kitchen. All that cost and left unhappy with the end product through what appears basic measuring mistake and no ownership taken... Just told to get my kitchen fitter to fix it, o ly so much he can do if things measured and ordered incorrectly."

"Hi , all a word of caution. On flooring for howdens is coming apart on the joints one of there manager came to look and take pictures and after 2 week I phoned them they told me that the flooring was laid incorrectly laid and shouldt be put on top of tiles and not a manufacturer's fault ."

"Excellent friendly shop. Spencer the kitchen designer is excellent and Sam really friendly. Actively like going into the store which is odd for me. Really happy with my kitchen and general service."

"A very good range of kitchen units with all the accessories. There are no high pressure salesmen, so you can look round at your leisure with assistance if needed. The only issue us that they do not have sufficient display area."

"We are improving our kitchen spending at least £20k. Have been to lots of places who really helped, Howdens is the only trade only place we went to, and our builder said they will help you. He is a great builder but was so wrong about howden being helpful. Sarcastic, no advice, only questions. Might be great product but awful customer service. If you want to be treated with respect, talk to your builder and let them deal with howdens,"
