"E.H. Smith Brick Center Shirley really knowledgeable gent working in the Brick Center. He recognisd the brick I wanted instantly from a picture on the phone. Even though manufacturer no longer exists! (This is a brick on a 1900 house in London). He was able to suggest a good replacement brick (they have an superb selection). By chance they even had some already made up "specials" dog leg bricks in a vaguely similar shade and size that I bought (just in case) while steps taken to get the best match sorted (made). Also would like to say how helpful and cheerful blokes in the brick yard across the road were. Was such a positive experience after disappointments trying to get a match I had tried two builders merchants (large firms) in London and one in North Wales with no success previously. Highly recommend this place."

"Good selection of bricks and good sales assistant. Aftercare was shockingly bad though. Rude bloke behind the counter tried to tell me they didn't take surpluses back when the sales bloke had said they'd happily have it back (apart from cement). If I was that unhelpful in my job I'd have disciplinary."

"Went there to get advise concerning brick match for a proposed extension. Spoke with Moo, who identified our brick, but informed, no longer available. So he came up some alternatives, which we noted and will advise the builders to place an order with them, as so helpful. We would recommend them, as the access, service was excellent. Many thanks"
