"A really old, well renovated muti-roomed pub run by Holt's Brewery. The bar is a feature of the pub but sadly only now mainly used from the newer extension. Another surprising/ worrying trend is that although Holt's in many other establishments sell their full range of cask beers this one only sells Holt's bitter over its hand pump's.which suggests it's clientele are not interested in this range? A long time since I have been in & I was surprised just how quiet it was for a Friday evening. The bitter was ok, but certainly not the best that evening."
"Went into the Griffin today after not going there for over 2 years. The Cockney landlord was really friendly and kept a good pint of holts bitter.The Beer was 10 out of 10 and I really enjoyed his company. Excellent people Skills with customers and a credit to the holts business. I could have stayed there all day with the friendly environment. I Will be coming back soon"
"Very traditional pub. Went to see the 'artwork' and enjoyed a couple of pints. If your looking for the 'banksy style work' it's on the side of the pub alongside a adjoining road"
