“We are new to the area, and a colleague of mine has recommended Mekhong as one of her favourite Wynnum restaurants. As we like Thai food, we popped in for dinner last Friday and were very impressed. Not only was the food full of flavour and beautifully presented, but also the service was friendly, the restaurant was lovingly decorated and some nice and relaxing music was playing in the background. There are cosy touches everywhere (branded dinnerware and napkins, personalised wall art etc) that show how much thought has gone into the decor. We felt great in that environment and will be back soon.”

“It was a busy day but the place was still clean, modern and the staff were still super friendly and courteous. Great food, great prices and considering how busy it was the food came out promptly.”

“Colossal has a strong "local" feeling. The staff are always happy to make individual adjustments to food on the menu to make sure that everyone is catered for. Delicious coffee and chai latte. Love the grilled vegetable rolls.”

“The food at this place was very delicious, we really liked the carbonara. The wagyu steak was so tender and juicy. The salad was good, just the halloumi needed a little less time on the pan. I appreciated the fact that the ambient music was kept at a very low volume. Will go back in future”

“YUM! I can definitely recommend the Bengal Curry House. Their Shahi Korma is the most delicious curry I have ever eaten! My 5 year old son told them it was the best meal he had eaten in 10 years hahaha An easy 5 stars from my whole family.”

“Great place. No need to sign in, so you're not handing over your licence. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Great old fashioned service levels. Great food. Recently celebrated a big family event and it was seamless. Easy parking. Pokies are not 'in your face'. The balcony is lovely for a meal. Can't fault this place.”

“I don't know how we haven't heard of this place until now. My husband loves his craft brews and he was like a kid in a candy store. We came for the Sunday Roast - highly recommended, must book. They alternate between beef, lamb and pork. Today's was Pork, omg, so delicious and large servings. They also have a large selection of wine and some cocktails if beers are not your fancy.”

“I had my event here in December and I couldn't be more pleased. The functions manager Andrew looked after me from the very beginning, ensuring I was happy with everything. He is one of the best functions manager I have ever come across, and most of the staff at the hotel were friendly, efficient and helpful. The function room was clean, set up beautifully and had all the features I needed. The food platters were a huge hit and absolutely delicious, and their facilities are clean and modern. I highly recommend this hotel for your next function. Five stars!”

“Best service I have ever had in my life. Give these guys a raise. Matt behind the bar was immaculate with great service, friendly chat, and just a good bloke. In the bistro area Tom was great at service with bringing out our meals very efficiently and fast that were delicious by the way. Would definitely come back. Please let these men know how great they are going.”

“Excellent food and very friendly staff. Only change would be we took our dog but there were no signs to say we're we could sit. Very polite and kind waiter asked us to move into the bar area, we were later approached by a senior member of staff and asked to sign a waiver. This was no issue but it may be better to have a sign to say dogs are welcome in bar area and a wavier should be signed. If this had been up we would have approached a member of staff to sign the waiver before sitting down. Overall lovely atmosphere, staff were wonderful with the dog too (first time he went to a pub, so was a little anxious), and food was excellent”

“Excellent food, staff were lovely and friendly. The only change would be to have a dog friendly sign up. We took our dog, but there were no signs so we sat anywhere a very polite waiter asked us to move into the bar area. We moved over and sat, had drinks. Half way through the main a more senior member of staff came over and asked us to sign a waiver, it was no issue at all and she was very polite too. I think it would have been better if a sign is placed at the entrance saying dogs are welcome and in which area, also that dog owners would need to sign a waiver. If this had been up we would have signed before sitting down. Overall excellent food , lovely staff.”
