“It's just my opinion but Townsville is a wasteland for good coffee. This little place tucked away in a dead shopping centre in Belgian Gardens has now shown me that there is someone who can make a very good coffee in this city. A modest machine and grinder with some very tasty beans is all that it takes for the owner to put out a very nice brew. Pretty sure that it would be a locals secret but it's definitely worth finding if you want to get the best coffee in the region.”

“This place has some amazing bubble tea! We spotted this place on a walk and decided to visit it, and it was brilliant. The owner was super friendly, with his dog Harrison out. There were bean bags out the front as well as books and games inside, making it a great spot to relax. I highly recommend the green tea with pear and peach pearls (at the time of visiting, it was #10 on the popular ordering board). Their teas were all-natural, having them cold brewed which helps to cool down on a warm day.”

“Good strong coffee made well by friendly barista. An excellent selection of food for the office areas surrounding of walkers-by like us. We got a strawberries and cream cronut and it was delicious. Its lovely sitting at the outdoor tables next to the water across from Flinders St. Well worth trying out for Townsville coffee seekers!”

“My 5 year old and 2 year old were absolutely terrified of getting their hair cut. We’ve tried numerous places/people and it was always awful! Ben is so amazing, calm and patient with my boys! He never got cranky with them or rushed them! He took his time to build the relationship, explain each step he was doing, and made it fun! Not only does my 5 year old beg to go see “benny” to have his hair cut now, both boys leave with the most perfect hair cut every-time! They also love getting their complimentary chocolate milks every time we go! Highly recommend HMB/Ben!”

“Botanical Style is a relaxed Cafe with outstanding customer service and VERY delicious YUM FOOD too. I also appreciate that it has vegan meals available. They welcome you in a happy and friendly manner and are obliging to meet any 'dietary and food allergy/intolerances' too. Botanical Style also has sitting arrangements inside the Cafe & also out the back amongst the inside garden with a soothing water feature too. It is also a pleasure to browse through their boutique ladies clothing. Unfortunately, I am short so their clothes do not fit me.”

“What a beautiful little oasis! Gorgeous gardens and such a nice cool, breezy spot up on the balcony. The service was amazing - so friendly and helpful. They were busy but efficient and the food and drinks were yummy! The Smoothies were well received and the iced coffee was one of the best I have had! Last but not least - such great value for money. We would definitely recommend this for any visitors or locals!”

“Wow! Stumbled across the Botaniq bar on the bottom floor and ordered their midweek wine and meal special. Ask for the crispy chicken! - it was the most delicious meal i have had in years. Also polished service and a beautiful setting overlooking the river. Recommend this place!”
