Waitrose & Partners Lewes
“Great service, above and beyond - I took a delivery recently and as always got an email in advance, confirming time and letting me know that a couple of items were not available. The driver was puzzled when he arrived, and said he was sure he'd seen them both in store as he'd passed through. I told him it was fine, neither was vital. A couple of hours later, there was a knock at the door and there was the driver with the missing items, which he'd picked up and delivered on his way home! So kind. Staff are generally cheerful and helpful, even when working under difficulties.”
St Pancras Store
“Lovely local store. Always friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.”
Mount Harry Stores Grocery
“This shop has endured for years, providing locals with products when most other convenience stores in the area are closed. It's ran by very friendly staff who are always kind and courteous.”
Malling Stores
“My parents opened this shop in the mid 1950’s and we lived in the flat above, no.3. All of my childhood memories revolve around here up until I was 10 years old. The store’s name then was A&J Pickerill, we didn’t have a car and my mum would walk with deliveries every lunchtime to customers. My father was able to start the business thanks to a loan from Sir Frank Sanderson who lived in the Manor House down the lane (now converted to flats) where he is buried in the private family plot at the church. My father was chauffeur to Sir Frank before that. I believe the loan was £3,000 but I might be wrong. It was interest free and repaid within 3 years.”

Harvey's Brewery Shop
“I discovered Harvey’s on a recent trip to England when we decided to take a day trip to Lewes. Harvey’s beer is without a doubt one of the best breweries with some of the best beers I have had in England. A great alternative to the big breweries. I will be certain to search out Harvey’s taprooms when in England.”
ALDI
“I just love Aldi, one of the few companies that really cares about people’s lives and plans to save money for the customers. Although the price is cheap, the staff members are always so friendly. As a poor student, my life depends on it.”
ALDI
“Still very good value and great quality. I can't get everything I need there but most of it and it definitely costs less than Tesco for a good many things. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'm glad I have an Aldi near me.”

Beckworths
“I have to admit that when I saw the other 5* reviews I did think it could not be that good... Well it is, really friendly customer service and I was ill and being a pain in the back side. Range and quality and knowledge of products was excellent, I ordered a sandwich for £3.25 with extra salad (as I was ill) really good Brown bread, tasted artisan. The ham was really nicely done. Salad was fresh.”
