“I attended the 5 day beginner course at the end of July and had very low expectations of the quality of work I would be able to produce. I underestimated my self. With Cassie's well developed course and Sam's patient and clear teaching I was able to produce 8 pieces of jewellery all using different skills and techniques and the majority of them are ones that I will wear. I was able to reproduce some of the items in silver with Sam on hand to provide advice and although I had no long term goal when enrolling I will definitely consider joining further short courses with the school. The location is really easy to get to, the 2 workshops well equipped and the staff welcoming and knowledgeable.”

“If crafting is your thing, with or without any skill, then you will love learning to make jewellery with Jonathan. I attended this course with my big sister and best friend. My sister was enthusiastic but nervous when she saw the list of tools we’d be using and skills we would be taught. She needn’t have been. Jonathan is a calm and patient teacher and didn’t just make it look easy. He broke down each step so it was actually very easy to follow. We all made very different bangles but we were all absolutely lately delighted with our creations. There is something joyous about making something so when you can wear your creation too, there is nothing not to like.”

Sarah was very welcoming and explained everything we were going to do during the session, with enough health and safety to put us at our ease and make us feel safe! We were able to design and make several pieces with Sarah giving advice and suggestions without taking over! with a busy job, it was so nice to concentrate on making something. We spent a lot of time there because I was looking for something interesting and when I found the ring it happened that the size was bigger than I needed, so we started discussing delivery options because it was our last day in England. “Now known as our family jeweller, Mitchel & Co are absolutely amazing!! After some unfavourable experiences in other Jewellery Quarter shops, we felt at ease as soon as we stepped into Mitchel & Co. Mitch was really helpful and although they didn’t have what I thought I wanted, he carefully went through the other options with us and was more than happy for us to leave and look elsewhere - so refreshing after being bartered all day by pushy salespeople in other shops! It was in Mitchel & Co that I tried on a ring that I had never even considered and to my complete surprise, it was love at first sight. I went away to think and came back very shortly after, knowing that this was the one! All of their staff were absolutely lovely and it was great to see so many other happy couples in there, who were also being well taken care of and really enjoying their experience. I was warm welcomed by Anna who was very friendly and took time to find the best deal for my money. Then Nigel came out of his workshop, greeted us and asked about few details then offered the best deal I had in all 30 shops I’ve been to. He even confirmed the ring size again to make sure it comes out perfect. And it was perfect. Thank you Nigel and all your lovely staff, I’m definitely recommending this place to everyone.”

“I did an 8-week beginners course at Pavlov Ceramics Studio with Chris, and absolutely loved it. It was amazing value for money as the class sizes are small and Chris gives a lot of 1-to-1 help. Chris gives in depth information about the technical aspects of working with clay, as well as doing practical demonstrations. I went by myself, and it was a relaxed atmosphere and everyone was really friendly . I would recommend this course to anyone, from complete beginner to intermediate looking for time to practice.”
