“We had my 50th Birthday party there with a few family and friends. Food was amazing, staff were amazing, nothing too much trouble. The staff deserve a medal for their hard work in getting food ready for 40 guests and 10 kids. Would highly recommend without a doubt.”

“By and far the best fish and chip shop in the area. A great selection and always a friendly and warm reception. Battered and plain chips, but the battered chips are definitely the most popular. A good selection of specials and deals and very reasonable prices. Portions are on the large side, so consider sharing between two or three.”

“What have we been missing all these years. What wonderful atmosphere and feeling to Chswicks. We have walked past for years. Trips to Blackheath will be more expensive in future. It is relaxed, friendly and welcoming. Cant wait for our next visit. The staff are proper nice and approachable.”

“My first visit since its had a complete refurbishment. Nice pub with some great open fires to sit by, also dog friendly. Good selection of beer's, the ales are reasonable priced but the Carling & strongbow cider is very expensive.”

“First time been here.found the pub to be light and bright unlike most of Wetherspoons pubs which tend to have subdued lighting. Beautiful beer garden. Found staff very pleasant and on the ball food good value for money will call in again. Only small gripe very small car park”

“A great pub with a good choice of drinks and some decent deals on cocktails. Both times I have been they had entertainment which on both occasions was very good. Sadly it was very quiet on the Saturday night that we visited. I really hope more people give it a try.”

“Service really good. Didn't wait long for each course and staff really friendly. Food was amazing. We had a kids fishfinger meal which was a great size, a chicken saag, a chicken jalfrezi, a chicken curry and a chicken tikka wrap. The chicken is melt in the mouth (I'm really fussy with chicken) and all dishes were fresh and very tasty. All the sides were great too. Excellent value for money and we will definitely be returning.”
